Ariel’s Balgownie

This place is a gem. Trendy interior and decor with cute artworks on the wall and green plants. I ordered the breakfast plate which was delicious, beautifully presented and a generous serving. We had been excited to try the japanese soufflé pancake but unfortunately was too eggy for our liking! My coffee was great! ☕

Never had a breakfast place give so many rashers of bacon! It was a wonderful surprise. Cute homey feel to the cafe and polite waiter that very patiently took photos of us as we were at a celebratory brunch. Would definitely return

First time to this lovely cafe. Great service from Luke. He gave us 2 choices to sit and was so accomodating (Mum uses a wheelie frame)

Great cafe. Friendly staff. Nice coffee. The barramundi and the omelette are my favourite dishes. Outside tables are great with nice view of escarpment. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Ordered some meals from Hone's takeaway home cooked menu, and was very happy. The salmon was probably the best I've ever had! And the apple crumble was amazing too. 😍

Dropped in for a quick lunch and was attended to very promptly by very attentive staff. Service was great food was excellent atmosphere was just perfect for a very enjoyable lunch. Had the 5 spice duck salad - YUM ! The cauliflower fritters had a very interesting flavour combination.,

Really amazing food. The chilli scrambled eggs were fantastic and the Japanese pancake was fluffy and oh so good.

Ordered Soufflé pancakes with berries on a windy and rainy afternoon and it was one of my best decisions of the day. The soufflé was soft and spongy and it warmed my heart! Hone Cafe will be my stop whenever I go visit Wollongong.

We love Hone Cafe, it’s our new local. Not only is the coffee the best in Illawarra, the staff are super friendly, polite and accomodating. The food is always consistently GREAT and our fur baby is welcome! We love coming to Hone for a bite and good dose of caffeine. Thanks team!

After discovering this place a month ago my boyfriend and I have found our new go to coffee place! The coffee is always amazing and service is exceptional. We end up coming in once a week at this point as we have never been disappointed and I am absolutely obsessed with the breakfast waffles and oat lattes! We have tried a-lot of things from the menu and have always been amazed by everything including the service. Overall, this is the place to go for amazing hospitality, delicious food, a kind and welcoming owner, and a great experience.

I can't fault Hone Cafe in anyway. The staff are all so friendly, the food is brilliant and the coffee is consistently perfect. Whether you go for coffee or a meal you won't be disappointed. 🍮🍳🥮

I went to hone Cafe a couple days ago to order some catering for a funeral. Sat down with the owner and talked about what he could do and so we ordered what we discussed and said the date and time to pick up.well my son picked it up and I got to say,it was absolutely fantastic. The rice paper rolls ,yummo. And the wraps so good .would I order from Hone again.YES.nice young owner doing his best.he delivered. Well done .

One of the best cafes in Australia, no joke. They make the best coffee that I've ever had, their food is top notch, and the desserts are to die for. Not to mention how great the menu is, those soufle pancakes, man, they never disappoint.
The moment you walk in, you can feel how much passion and care the owners have for this cafe. They care for your experience, and want to consistently deliver the best service that they can.

I can't recommend this cafe enough; I drag my family here all the time (when we're not in lockdown), and I can't shut up about this place when talking to friends about places to eat. Their cappuccinos are a hightlight of my morning runs.

I went to Hone Cafe on 28 December 2020 and I tried the souffle pancake and the long black coffee. I can say I was quite impressed with the food and coffee. The interior decor is kind of chic and classy too... I think I want to try their shakshuka next time... Yeah, I was impressed... Oh, Balgownie is also such a pretty village and you should see the mountain ranges surrounding the area - just breathtaking!

A wonderful cafe at a great location. The staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here again.
