Nice spot for a walk. Flat areas so suitable for someone not able to walk up hills and stairs. There are 2 bbqs model and upgrades. Clean. Sign says watch out for snakes that have been sighed on the 13th of Jan. I look forward to walkout here one day again. Check out the memorial trees!! Lovely spot to walk the dog.

Beautiful place to walk the dogs or enjoy the trees. Now with the advantage of a taco truck! Tacontento! Delicious!

Just properly discovered this lovely spot today while looking for Autumn leaves to photograph. I've taught kids to drive in the carpark but never got out! It's really pretty and has a fascinating history. Also many cute dogs out being walked. I'm looking forward to bringing my own dogs for a wander through the memorial trees, and to find the haunted bridge.

Nice place for walk/run and dogs,
Went for an early morning walk and saw some black cockatoos. Peaceful walk.

This place is not at its best just after rain, as it is a bit of a flood plain and can get a bit boggy. But, this is a gorgeous place, when it dries out. Lots of friendly people, and lots of friendly dogs.

A hidden gem within the suburbs of Belconnen.

With a lovely walk and filled with rich history, this walk is totally worth bringing the family on.

Only recently found out about this place. It's a great place to go for a walk, ride a bike or walk the dog. The place has a pretty interesting history behind it and there's a lot to discover here.

Recently visited Camberra and stumbled across this hidden gem for a leg stretch. Who would have known that there was this little bit of hidden history right in the ACT ?

Great place for a walk, ideal for dog walk
Interesting historical site, about a homestead built by convicts.

Fantastic off leash area for dogs! Would definitely recommend taking your dogs there.

Only downside is that it can get very muddy after rain so be careful after a storm

Great space for untrained dogs to run free and learn to socialise. No concerns about cars or roads. It's a large area featuring archaeological sites, woods, grasslands, creeks, footbridges, and massive 200 year old European trees such as oak.To one side are fields used by CSIRO to do whatever they do. The other side is flanked by a creek that some dogs may choose to swim in but also acts as a natural barrier from the road between Gungahlin and Belconnen. A homestead was located there in the 1800s prior to Canberra's birth. There are a couple of picnic tables located near the parking area but no other facilities. After rain the lower areas become boggy, so waterproof boots are the go.

This is a beautiful, reinvigorating and peaceful walk. It's off leash for dogs, so be prepared for our dogs to run up and greet you.

Please be aware that Domestic Animal Services have listed Palmerville as an off-leash area for dogs. If you or your dog can't handle being approached by a friendly dog, please go somewhere else.
