Litani's Mediterranean Restaurant

Busy outside but much quieter inside - just at the end of lunchtime.

Feels pretty authentic straight away. Nothing fancy, no trying to push a theme.... ....just groups of people eating and talking and the sight and smell of some amazing food.

Sat down and was given three menus - drinks, lunch (12-5) and the main menu.

Ordered some mixed dips and bread, a lamb souvlaki wrap and a haloumi wrap. Oh and a Mythos. There's a water station if there's nothing on the beer/wine/cocktail/soft drink/hot drink menu.

Beer came first. Big tick. I was hot and thirsty.

Dips next. Taramosalata, Toum and Melitzanosalata and a good amount of bread. All the dips were good. The Toum punched you with that fantastic fresh garlic taste but the stand-out was the Melitzanosalata which was next level.

Next up, the wraps. Both were excellent . Well priced to start with, without asking for extra for the things you'd expect to be there in the first place. $15.90 each. Both had the traditional filling. Really, really glad I didn't go for the Greek option (adds chips - and there's just no way I would have been able to finish it).

Both wraps were generous in primary filling and also the surrounds. By the time I got to the end of mine (haloumi) I was struggling.

Literally nothing not to like about the food we had here. Fresh, good portions, well balanced but above all, really tasty.

Even better, there's still time on this trip to go back and try one of the fantastic looking platters.

Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

We've been coming here every couple of months for a year now and I can now say that we consistently get great food food each time. Great sitting outside and BYO is a bonus. One of our many high rotation restaurants in the Gong.

We had dinner here, sat outside, perfect weather for it. They also have indoor seating. Kids meals were fine, decent serving. I had chicken souvlaki which I really enjoyed. Flavors were simple food was cooked well. Staff were friendly, overall enjoyed the meals. Extensive menu to cater for all. Wine selection is limited.

Wonderful food that was fresh and so reminded me of Greece, I loved everything we had - the Litani share platter for two. It was delicious and just right for two people. I also would love to try the desserts next time but had no room left. Will definitely be visiting again and recommend anyone to eat here.

First time coming here and we couldn’t fault anything, the food was amazing the, vibe and decor was great, the service was fast and very friendly and they had people playing music live, we will definitely be back and I will upload more photos :)

Excellent exhibits and the caretaker was friendly and knowledgeable! Recommended!

Just returned from having a meal, the food was above excellent, service good, staff were very helpful and we had a lovely conversation with the owners at the end of the evening. Would highly recommend the lamb cutlets and calamari, so fresh and cooked to perfection. Don’t hesitate to call in whether for a coffee and cake or a full meal, you won’t be disappointed.

Litani's food is always delicious, plentiful and lovely.
We drive up from Jervis Bay specifically to eat the gorgeous food.
The service is always great and considering they were fully booked for mother's day we were well looked after and the food came out quickly.
Will always be back.

Friendly waiters/waitresses, amazing Greek food and beautiful atmosphere. I loved the overhead lightbulb lights in the alfresco dining. Your food is magnificent and the lovely waitress with the blond hair was super efficient. The waitress with the brown hair was super accomodating and I appreciated the male waiter asking if we wanted the curtains lowered. We will be back again!!

Went for dinner and ordered the banquet for 2. Very good quality and was more than enough food for the 2 of us. Good honest traditional Greek food. Would definitely recommend. Only disappointment we weren't there on the night when they have live greek music playing.

Great coffee and wonderful eats for a reasonable price. When I ordered a toastie I expected a small breakfast, and this assumption was very wrong! A beautiful, huge, breakfast sandwich was delivered and I devoured it instantly. The green yogurt in the muesli was also just divine. I probably would have been totally fine just eating a big bowls of that! Overall a superb choice fore breakfast.

Also they have a cherry ripe cake!

It was a busy Saturday night....we had a party of eight people. From the moment we were seated the staff service made us feel like the only people in the restaurant. Great service , great food ! All meals came out together,. We had a fantastic night. Head waiter Chris was the best !

We recently had my son's 21st Birthday at LITANI'S..Doreen and her team were absolutely amazing making our night stress free. The decor ,food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend anyone interested in booking a function or visit the restaurant for a catch with friends over some beautiful food. Thank you for a beautiful night.

This was the most good quality and variety fresh enjoyable food I ever experienced! If you like steak lamb food this is the right place you must visit in our wedding anniversary night Mithat was so delicious and hot on the plate family own business giving you so much food so you don’t need to go to McDonald’s after all price for the dinner and drinks beautiful Greek Mediterranean food was so cheap I will pay double of this price kind visit this restaurant again thanks to Chris and Doreen for their hospitality and help they gave us custom once breakfast was so nice good on you guys you deserve this 10/10 review?👏👏👍👍Bedir fr Sydney.

Ok so we came to Wollongong for a couple of days and we ended up at this nice Mediterranean Greek restaurant the food was better than I thought it was a bit on the pricey side but what you pay for is what you get , it was really good food it’s a shame I can only give five stars I would definitely give them a nine star rating. Very clean prompt service

My partner and I had lunch on Tuesday at Litani's. We asked if we could order from the dinner menu, as we wished to have the pasta; they obliged. The carbonara was made with fresh cream and mushrooms, while the cheese ravioli came with a tomato based sauce, the kalamata olives were a nice touch. The servings were very generous, and the service friendly and professional.
