The Cooks Garden

Had lunch here and the service and quality of the food is simply amazing.

Had the seared scallops, half a dozen oysters for starters and then the roasted pork belly, duck breast and chilli crab pasta for the mains.

Scallops tasted great but are a little bit on the small side.

Oysters were very fresh.

The pork belly comes with my personal strong recommendation. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender and juicy. Dip it in the brown sauce and you have a taste of paradise. The salad at the side cuts through with its tanginess and complements the roasted pork perfectly.

Wonderful food and wine, great service, enjoyed the whole experience greatly!

The lamb loin was a quality dish, with the caramelized onion and sweet potato...yum! The gnocchi was good, but the olives in it were a bit overpowering for me. The fig and almond tart for dessert was spectacular.

Generally the best eating experience we can get in the area. The food has been consistently delicious and despite the challenges of managing take away food it has been well put together and delicious. Always a treat when we can get it delivered and well worth picking up if needed. Thanks for giving us enjoyable meals. Glad we can support them while eating in isn't an option.

We loved our dinner at the Cooks Garden. Wanted to enjoy the food and atmosphere at least one more time before they close for good. The menu options have always been carefully thought out, thoughtfully prepared and presented, without being to fussy or pretentious, and delivered by very friendly staff. Going to miss all of it.

Excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. They have a new chef and the food is even better. Flexible options such as gluten free, vegan etc. We eat here quite regularly and have never been disappointed. They do events, such as wine tasting and champagne dinners, very well too. Good value for money and a nice meal out. For us the best restaurant (and bar next door) on the north shore!

We came here for the first time for dinner with our 90yo uncle from France and from the moment we sat down we felt instantly welcomed.

The service through the night was exceptional and the manager was incredibly friendly, fun, helpful, attentive, and professional.

The meals were way above and beyond our expectations.

This was many months ago and have been back numerous times since, and will continue to do so.

A long time between visits and we were not disappointed. Perfect serving sizes - we had the lamb and the gnocchi - beautifully presented and super tasty - the perfect way to cook lamb. Can never go past the soufflé for dessert - melt in your mouth. The whole dining experience made even better by our amazing waiter, Connor. A lovely young man, knowledgeable with the COVID restrictions and very polite and obviously has a great deal of pride in his work. You should be proud of him - and get him to assist in training up other staff. Always smiling and happy - nothing was too much to ask.

What an oasis! This place oozes a relaxed atmosphere with an excellent range of beers, wine and superb food! The staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. We had a social and fun Sunday afternoon listening to music and then a great meal.

Came here for my daughter's Birthday and then again for Father's Day, food is awesome, staff very friendly and attentive without being over the top. Great place for a special occasion or just a nice dinner out. Must try the beer garden sometime!

The Cooks Garden is one of the rare spots on the North Shore where one can take anybody with the confidence that you will have great food and service. Hand in hand with the great options of where you sit inside, outside or in between whatever suits your occasion. Having the option of the wine bar attached for a quick meal and a glass is just a great bonus. Great place to relax and have good food. we go at least once a month and have never been disappointed.

Beautiful food. A stellar restaurant in town. Sadly the owners have decided to retire and the place is shutting early May and is being replaced by a retail business apparently. What a shame!

Went there for dinner tonight after hearing raving reviews from my family. Was not disappointed. Had the hallumi for starters lamb, cous cous & hummus for mains & syrup dumplings with vanilla ice cream for dessert (umm, they were amazing!!). Really good quality and highly recommended.

The only disappointment was my Mum & sister said that their used to be an amazing chocolate fondant on the menu, but it's no longer there! Maybe bring it back as it's a classic 👍🏽👏🏽

You guys were awesome. We were super annoying and walked in without a reservation, and you found us a table for an hour and still treated us brilliantly. Sorry about that by the way.
Just as importantly, the food was fantastic. We’ll be back, with a booking.

Fine dining in a quaint little shopping village just down the road from the national park.

The dessert sampler is worth trying.

We took guests from overseas and they all sang its praises which was great.

Favourite restaurant in northern Sydney. Seasonal menu delicious. Always cannot decide which yummy plate to order. Great wine list, friendly staff

Yummy food, great atmosphere, excellent wait staff, in particular a young waiter, Keenan. Thank you for suggesting the souffle for dessert. Loved it. Will be back.

It was outstandingly enjoyable.
The staff member was lovely making it clear all the wonderful options available, including coffee and dessert.

The meal was prepared fast and serves were a good size. Prices are reasonable too.

There is plenty of parking in the car lot out the back. Accessibility for Take-away is from the front bay window and orders picked up on the other side. No stairs to enter the restaurant.

Highly recommended.
