Wow. This Burek was amazing. One of the best I've had.
Came across this place from a friend's recommendation. The store doesnt look like much and you could miss it as the service station, but dont let that stop you from going in. The owner is a gentleman and makes some delicious baked goods. Had the spinach with cheese, pepperoni with cheese and meat burek and they were all amazing. And thumbs up from my wife and daughter aswell👍🏼

Wow, this place really has the real deal authentic Burek. They are fresh and tasty made on the premises and very good.

Awesome. I found out about this place from some local community groups and I’m so happy I did. The Burek was amazing and the lady working there is really nice. Pro tip. Let her recommend the toppings and you won’t regret it.

Moved from Wollongong to Tasmania recently and I hope the fact that I still feel compelled to write this review speaks to how good this place is.

I have been eating Burek for years but this place just seems to get everything right. Much less messy than other Burek as it’s cooked nice and neat, has great flavour range and you can just tell that they pick their ingredients with a great deal of care.

While I miss many things about the Illawarra (the beaches, the people, the scenery) I cannot think of anything I miss more than the pepperoni and cheese Burek (which you absolutely have to get with garlic salt).

You will not regret going here at all.

Absolutely amazing burek, not oversized or too much pastry like some of the other burek shops. A friendly Family orientated business! Large burek also available as a special order which comes in a big Pizza box and is a popular choice for something unique to bring to a family gathering.

This little gem of a place serves a seriously good burek. Lovely lady behind the counter, a bit of a truck-stop ambience and a sense of times gone by. It’s unique and the food is excellent. Find your way there-it will give you a sense of achievement so then reward yourself with a flaky, tasty home-cooked burek. Grab a coffee too and wander off to the beach to enjoy your meal. I have nearly tried every burek shop in the Illawarra but Ambrosia Eatery is by far the BEST👌
The way they do their pastry makes it so light and fluffy and the minced meat...OMG the flavour of their minced meat is to die for🤤😋 I have never tasted anything like it. It is their signature recipe and add on the fact that the owners are absolutely beautiful people who are so friendly, it is what makes them the best burek shop in the Illawarra. If you haven't visited these guys yet, I highly recommend that you head down there and grab one of their bureks because I can guarantee you that you'll never go anywhere else for burek ever again. I am so addicted🤭 A+++

A rare gem : I stumbled upon the eatery by way of a missing wallet. The owners found it and contacted me, I got it back without a single penny missing from it. I got the chance to taste their beautiful and delicious burek and had a complimentary coffee and a chat as well - it felt like I was with family. Could not have imagined a better, warmer experience! I am really grateful and will be sure to return again soon!

These are delicious and don’t last long in our house with the 5 of us. My favourite is the meat and cheese. Service is great, very special family business I’m happy to promote and support.

Got 3 different bureks yesterday and we had no time to take a pic as we dived in it was that delish! My fave and somethink out od the ordinary was the PEPPERONI & CHEESE which was amazing
