East Corrimal Medical Centre

I have found Dr Puja, and other services provided from this medical centre, which I have accessed the last few years and most recently, of excellent quality. Medical issues were picked up and investigated through x-ray, ultrasound and blood tests very quickly, to ensure I received the medical treatment and support I required. My whole immediate family have since moved to the practice, as to some extended family. With health and support care playing such an important role in our life, I am blessed to have the care of Dr Puja and her team.

East Corrimal Medical centre is amazing. I have been attended to Dr Rahul Meghan and most recently Dr Puja Mehrotra . I have found them both to be thorough and thoughtful. I get regular appointments at the centre easily, by phoning in or on the Hot Doc app. Dr Puja sends reminders of when my blood tests are due and when the results come back. Most recently I had 11 months of intensive treatment seeing Dr Puja every week and found her caring and easy to discuss my care with, and she went the extra mile to check on my emotional health too not just the physical problem . Love it there wouldn’t change

I can highly recommend East Corrimal Medical Centre to anyone, I’ve be a patient there for the past 20 odd years, however since taken over the practice several years ago Dr Rahul Mehan and Dr Puja Mehrotra along with their team have elevated the level of service can expect to get.
The past few years have been the most difficult time of my life, dealing with both physical and metal issue. The team at East Corrimal Medical Centre help me navigate through this time.

Thank you guys especially you Dr Puja, helping me work through my medical issue and deal with losing dad.

The practice has got an excellent team of doctors. Special shoutout to Dr. Rahul Mehan & Dr. Puja Mehrotra, who are very caring, patient & genuine despite their business. The reception staff is very understanding of the context & extremely courteous. Highly recommend!

I do have a regular doctor at this centre who has been excellent. But even when I need to see a different doctor urgently, they have all been absolutely wonderful.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned in my life was that day when I came to your surgery and you told me that the most important thing to be cured is mental strength, I will be eternally grateful to you, doctor PUJA MEHROTRA. THANKS.

I found it difficult over the years that I lived here in Wollongong to find a doctor who was attentive to my needs whilst also being up to date on current practices etc. That was until I started coming to the east corrimal practice. I find all three doctors to be kind and caring and forward thinking. I highly recommend them to you :)

Excellent service provided by DR Puja to my elderly mother very understanding and patient considering my mother’s English is virtually non existent

When moving to Wollongong 2017 I looked for a Dr that I could use long term. The first two years were great, Dr Puja and the senior team helped me with IVF and they were great when my child arrived. The nurses and pathology team were also great.

In the last few years the practice has expanded and the customer service has really dropped. The reception team are shocking, people are calling when they are sick and need help and every request is met as a hassle, they aren’t friendly or caring.

The first annoyance was that they took away bulk billing. This was phased but the service level dropped and they were now charging top dollar.

Trying to get an appointment with the same Dr is impossible so I would get bounced around between them. On my last appointment the Dr said he didn’t want to prescribe antibiotics for my bronchitis as he wasn’t my regular Dr. I needed help and was made to feel like it was my fault for not sticking with 1 dr even though it would have been a weeks wait to see dr puja.

They also charge me $60 for canceling a free appointment for my 3 year old child 6hrs before the appointment time. I was later told I should have requested it to be changed to a phone consultation and then canceled it, if I had done this I would have been charged $20 only. So many loop holes!! They didn’t refund me after I followed up on this, more so there was no apology.

I have been really unwell and booked an appointment, confirmed the text msg that I was coming and went back to sleep to have it then canceled 90 mins later as hot doc didn’t have my credit card details, even though the surgery has this information. I didn’t realise this and turned up to the appointment 2 days later to be told I didn’t have one. You know I just booked the appointment … why didn’t you call to let me know it had been canceled due to a admin requirement. So frustrating when you are already sick.

I feel really let down, do you care about your patients?? I’ve had enough and I’m moving to another practice. In the 1 consultation I’ve had with the new practice they have been more professional and caring than ECMC has ever been. You guys really need to work on your care if you want to keep your patients - we deserve better.

For over 2 years I have been experiencing worsening weekness in my limbs, restricting my mobility. Not once was this investigated by Dr Puja Mehrotra, I was just referred to a physio. It took a liver specialist to request blood tests immediately, got a phone call the next day with the results which were not good. Ended up in hospital for almost 2 weeks, after many tests I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Myositis. You would think having so called experience in chronic diseases the Dr at this practice would have done more when I had first voiced my concerns and symptoms. Will never set foot in this practice again. If you want to live go elsewhere.

I had an appointment with Rahul Mehan. He arrived at the place of appointment 2 hours after the appointment time (not an exaggeration) the process of acquiring infomercial after the appointment was a nightmare. I was give a phone number to contact which was not connected and when pressed for the appointments results he submitted an incomplete report simply so he could do away with any requirement to act professional toward. An all around nightmare and waste of time.

Unprofessional practice, will just cancel your appointment with no courtesy phone call.
