First time there and now we are making it a fortnightly/month family dinner! Definitely recommend. $160 for 4 large adult meals + kids and drinks is pretty good these days. Service was was impeccable

Food was 10/10 the meat is bar none the best in Newcastle!

Special mention to our server Lucy, she was coaching a new server, she was kind, sweet and just a total vibe of how you want to come to a new restaurant and be met with. It was wonderful to see her coaching, if they mirror her manners and timings, they are set for success.

Located inside the wests mayfield leagues club. Great food quality staff aim to please and the manager she is truly a star and running things brilliantly. We dined here twice during our stay at the hotel the gateway inn next door and it was the best food we had in Newcastle hands down. Lastly they we’re very accommodating with last minute booking and two infants we had and each time brought some colour in books to keep our little one entertained and busy. Sadly closed on Sundays and Mondays as we would have eaten there on the Sunday however the restaurant in house bistro at the leagues club served us a good meal as well.

took my partner for dinner for his birthday and he said it was the best feed his ever had out of all the steak houses and restaurants his ever been to we were both so extremely impressed with the food it was perfectly amazing we ordered the 2 person platter we couldn't eat it all and was provided containers to bring it home, would highly recommend 👌

Good food and lovely staff. We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Lots of atmosphere, nice drinks and the food was great, except for one meal... we spoke to the waitress about this who addressed our concerns with great customer service and we left feeling very full and very happy. We'd go back and try some more of what they have to offer. The slow cooked steak was honestly the best I'd ever tasted!
Only improvement I'd suggest is that they added some info onto the website (and Google) about how to enter the restaurant which is via the Wests Club - this isn't obvious to "non-locals" and there were no signs to point us in the right direction.

Amazing food. My friend and I got the share platter for two and not only was it huge, everything on it was delicious. It wasn't cheap but was absolutely worth it for my birthday feast. Really enjoyed going to Texas Bar-B-Q Grill and will look to be going back for another special occasion in the future.

Have had repeatedly good meals here. Good quality meat cooked to perfection, very generous helpings, and value for money. If you're not a 'club' person don't be put off - well worth a visit.

Their signature slow cook steak is best I have ever tasted. Great value for money too because I have paid more than double at offer restaurants for steaks that weren't as good.

The food was amazing and the service was great. So much food for your money. We left full and happy.

Very good sized meals, you get what you pay for. Pictured is the Rattlesteak and the Ribs and Chicken. Not pictured is the True Grit platter which is a 2 person mix of all the bbq options with chips, slaw and onion rings. All very good.

Will be back for a go at the all you can eat though. The atmosphere is great, comfortable seats, large tables and a solid selection of drinks, both alcoholic and not.

Our server on Sat night was excellent. Steaks cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. Highly recommended and will come back!

Being from Texas this was the best steak, bbq and service I've had in Australia. The only thing I can add for improvement is add additional instructions for restraunt parking. I will Definitely be back!!!

The best steak we have had in a long time, for a first time visit, we were thoroughly impressed.

How on Earth does this place not have reviews yet? It’s like a little taste of Texas right here in Newcastle. Authentic food with large quantities, that is so darn good it was worth licking the plate. I attended on 12/7/19 for dinner (I think 2 months after they’d first opened?) and ordered the meat lovers pizza, which isn’t the stereotypical pizza you’d think; it was jammed pack full of yummy brisket and melt-in-your-mouth meat. The most delicious pizza I’ve ever had in my life, and large enough that myself and the table couldn’t finish (yay for takeaway containers!). The rest of the table also ordered racks of ribs and steak, which were massive and not only looked delicious, but definitely lived up to it, as well as a topped waffle for dessert. The service was also amazing. Our waiter for the night was Luke, who was absolutely excellent and friendly, so cheers Luke.
