Yam's Happy Inn

Was driving up from Melbourne and saw this place on google, thought I’d give it a try. WOW! Excellent food! Prices are crazy cheap and massive portions! Got the garlic chicken, honey chicken and vegetable chowmein, everything was perfect. Got the classic fried ice cream and banana fritter with ice cream for dessert and they were awesome. It’s not a fancy place but with food this great it doesn’t matter. Definitely get down here! 10/10

A real hidden gem in the neighbourhood and we will definitely return for more of the great food. The Cantonese dishes are done very nicely here and highly recommended.

This is the only Chinese restaurant in Toongabbie, and they do have lunch special, open until late, and very friendly staff. Family owned business and love their food. Most of the food is really good and I love their soup which is really spicy. Let me know what's your favourite food?

My parents were chatting with owner on the phone (hoping to order takeaway)…Unfortunately, they said they are closing down as of Feb 29th 2024.

So happy Yams happy inn is still alive and cooking. I used to dine here over 20 years ago and I am very pleased to say that the quality, quantity and taste of all their food has not changed in the slightest and is still much, much better value for money than anyone else around. Absolutely the best fried rice I have ever eaten, I could eat it all day long. Love your work guys, keep making people's tummies happy for years to come. Cheers.

Awesome little Chinese restaurant, been going here for many years

Just moved into the area and decided to try Yam's after our first choice was closed. So happy that happened as we had an absolutely delicious meal, brought out quickly and flavour on point 👌🏽 The owner lady at the front was pleasant 😊every dish we ordered was delicious and we will no doubt be back.

If you just want a good, simple local chinese (Cantonese food), this is the place. We tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly suprised with the flavours. The owner told us they have been here for 4 generations. Food came out quick, hot and very authentic homely Cantonese flavour. Will definitely come back again!

Have been going here for over 25 years food is always tasty and fresh never had a bad meal. Family owned and run always friendly and welcoming. Have recommended numerous family and friends who also enjoy the food.

We really enjoy our meals at Yan's Happy Inn. Everybody is very friendly and 'Happy' there. They always welcome us and are beginning to know us all. We meet on most Fridays and they save us our favourite seats.

Very friendly staff - the lady remembered us when we went the second time, and then we became well-acquainted. Ample space per table; good for a night out with a low budget.

My family have been getting takeaway from here for more years than I can remember and every time I've been there the owners were really nice. Great customer service, good prices and wonderful food. I don't think I could name two places I would prefer to go to.
