Mint Cafe Whyalla

Mint Cafe is the choice Cafe venue for Whyalla. Situated off Nicolson Avenue and next to the University Campus, it offers a large amount of seating and would be ideal for a team or family gathering. There are tables both inside (not too noisy) and outside within enclosed cafe blinds for all weather conditions.
Service was friendly and hospitable, the Cafe fit out and presentation was very clean and professional.
I enjoyed the Vegetarian poached egg breakfast and was suitably impressed. The coffee was decent, certainly better than other offerings in town.

I had a few meals here. They have spacious outdoor sitting areas as well as indoor sitting area. They even provided rugs and pillows for outdoor sitting as there is a big grass area outside at the back. What a wonderful idea!

The customer service was good, staff were friendly and helpful. I tried the chocolate banana smoothie with seafood basket at lunch time. It was yummy. And I had a raspberry white chocolate cheesecake, it was yummy too.

The last time I went there we had a staff breakfast. I had Mint Breakfast, it had a big serve and everything in the plate was yummy. I had a berry smoothie, it was OK, couldn't taste much of the berry flavour.

Overall I had good experiences here, it is a lovely cafe. They can write names/words on your coffees too, you might be surprised what they are going to write on yours. 😉

Happy breakfast at the Mint Cafe, my partner and I have been served by Pamela, which was really kind an thoughtful, she prepared these cappuccinos with this cheerful Merry Christmas sign. Really delightful.
The breaky was also really good. The guy that brought the plates was friendly and professional as well. Food was delicious! I appreciate in particular the crispy bacon and the hollandaise sauce.
Really good vibes there. Highly recommend.

Fantastic food and atmosphere for breakfast or lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bench seats, couches etc. Good selection of fresh salads and cheesecakes as well as the main menu. Recommend trying the iced coffee milkshake!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and most importantly the team is very friendly. Ticks all the boxes and one of the best cafes I have ever been to.

Best cafe in town! I came here every week as a student & continue to frequent whenever possible. Pam is an outstanding worker and has been for years, going back to when Mint was the Aroma Cafe. The new additions to the team are also always friendly, helpful, and appreciative of regulars and newcomers alike. The food is always fresh, plentiful, and timely and the decor is perfect for a lunch meeting, catching up with friends, or just hanging out with a good book. Trust me -- I have visited every cafe in town several times, and you won't find a better breakfast in Whyalla.

Amazing food! We stopped in here during a road trip just expecting quick food and ended up having a fresh, healthy, and delicious lunch. Left with two delicious looking cakes as well, thank you to the team 😋

What a wonderful find in Whyalla. Beautiful lunch at a very reasonable price. We chose to sit outside under shade surrounded by lawns and garden in a very quiet setting. The staff were just wonderful a so willing to help. I couldnt fault them they made our family lunch very enjoyable.

Customer service was lovely with a sweet family friendly atmosphere.
Sweet treats to choose from like the Snickers slice. The Snickers slice was sweetened to perfection. However, a friend said it was not sweet enough. Good thing there are sweeter options available too.
There is also a nice selection of cold meals ready to take home or have heated at Mint Cafe such as the frittata. The frittata on it's own was reasonably priced at $9, or $11 with salad.

Glad to have went in again.

Fantastic service. The Barista, friendly and personable - top grade, not only in the ability to push out terrific drinks but also great with people, remembering customers' drink habits.
Terrific range of foods for brekky and lunch. Spoilt for choices here.

The Mint Breakfast was fantastic, cooked perfect and the baked lemon curd cheese cake is the closest thing to my Omas baked cheese I've tased
