John Bright Motor Inn

Old, but very clean and comfortable. Off street free parking. Friendly, polite staff. Around the corner from both main streets so a fantastic location. Definitely would stay again.

Lovely room, only little complaint the shower floor was very slippery and hurt my back a little when I slipped. But not a problem a bath mat wouldn't fix. Otherwise the room was spotless, well appointed and as we were out the front the little balcony/porch was an awesome bonus. Thankyou

We stayed in a recently refurbished room, couldn't have asked for any better. It had all the amenities required and was very clean. My only gripe was the coffee maker, they never make the coffee hot enough (but they seem to be the trend now, not sure if there was a kettle, I didn't go looking). Check in & out was easy. Perfect location, walking distance to the town, eateries & supermarket if needed. We are smokers, so found it handy to have a patio area & ashtray outside our room.

Easy to find, rooms are what u can expect from a motel. but the parking spaces are quite narrow especially when someone didn’t follow the one car per stopper…. They chose to park at their own convenience and not being considerate.

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday stay at Barrass’s John Bright Motor Inn. We booked a Queen spa on the upper level and it had everything we needed and was very clean and extremely comfortable. Sure, the design of the rooms are a bit dated, but it was like staying in a 70’s time capsule and all the basic amenities were excellent. We were even allowed a late checkout which was very generous. Can’t recommend this place enough, and we’ll certainly be back!

Nice small motel. The location is great close to shops and cafes. Room was clean and spacey. Jacuzzi was a pleasant feature. Fast wifi and ample parking space. The owner, Russel and Lynne, are friendly couple. The only negative is that they do not have designated parking for bicycles and no room service on Sunday and public holidays.

Fantastic location, great management.
We stayed here for four nights. The location is awesome being within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. Easy access to the bike trails. The owners knowledge is great. They are friendly folk, willing to help and provide information.

Brilliant place!

We stayed overnight on our way to Mt Hotham. The rooms were fantastic, very modern having recently been renovated. The bathroom in particular was exceptional with the large shower rose, great for the cold night. It gave my wife some ideas for our house. Best of all, we were warm and comfortable.

The motor inn is located centrally and an easy walking distance to the pub or the shopping centre. Marj was very helpful at pointing out good places to eat and giving us general advise on the surroundings. A perfect host.

Looking forward to swinging by next ski season.

Totally fab place to stay. At the back of the bike hire shop and walking distance to all things Bright. We stay here every time we come to town and are always pleased to do so. Well done Mark and Marj :-D

As Motor Inns go this is a good one. Beds were comfortable. Room, bathroom and sheets were clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and informative about the area. Would go back.
