Bogong Moth Motel

Such a relaxing and quiet place to spend the night. Our room was perfectly clean and recently refurbished. Tim, the owner, is a genuinely nice guy and very welcoming. We'll certainly stay here again, Bogong Moth is a gem.

We stayed for one night before heading up to Falls Creek. What an incredible host Tim is. We arrived late at night with small kids and he had turned the heaters on, and was waiting to welcome us despite it being after hours. Brilliant location and spotless rooms. And when we finally hopped into bed, he had even turned the electric blanket on to warm the beds for us! Such brilliant attention to detail. The rooms are well equipped and the location is great, but it is the host that really makes this a great place to stay. We'll be back!

Stayed one night before heading to Falls Creek. The room was small for 4 but clean. We needed extra bed sheets and Tim the owner gave them to us. Will be staying another night on our way back home. Value for Money.

Didn't meet the owners, nor was there a need to. Room aircon was going when I arrived (hot day) - nice touch. Comfortable bed, plenty of room (including area out the back). Could not fault it.

Recommend this place very highly. Tim, the owner, is a very nice man. The room we had, while smal, was well equipped. Nice bed linen and large bath towels. Electric blankets and room heater. Two easy chairs to sit in to watch the flat screen TV. Microwave, toaster and electric kettle and a small dining table with two chairs. Nice little outdoor space where you can sit and enjoy the views. Room was spotlessly clean.

Really nice staff and the accomodation was perfect, couldn't have chosen a better place for my trip!

Great place, 10min walk 5min drive to town centre & amenities, beautiful cafes, restaurants, Mt Beauty itself, name says it all. Room spotless & smelt so fresh, everything u need in a room, as well as a communal kitchen, bbq area, Staff so friendly & helpful, would recommend it to anyone.

Tim was an exceptional host! Very welcoming and went the extra mile without being asked; offering a place to shower after a morning of riding at Falls Creek. The rooms were immaculate and its a nice quite place about 2 min from Mt Beauty. So much of an experience is based on the interactions with the staff and they really showed the cared. Will definitely return on my next trip.

Management was amazing, rooms were cosy, perfect for me and my husband to have a romantic getaway. Tim the manger said check out late if you want to when he found out we were pregnant. Amazing host amazing views would definitely stay again.

Mate! I will be back just to kick it with Tim the owner. He is an absolute legend. Typical Aussie icon. Such great hospitality, friendliness and the motel was stunningly clean. Was planning on staying up on falls creek mountain but after our visit to the motel, we’ve decided to stay here. Bring some beers and enjoy Tim’s stories. Bloody ripper of a bloke. Absolute legend.

Affordable, great location and well presented rooms. Tim was more than helpful from making our stay pleasant to giving great advice on local places to go and where to get a great feed in town. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful spot, comfortable accommodation with friendly and accommodating host. We did a run in the area and Tim was kind enough to grant us access to the facilities well after check out to shower before a long drive home. Will stay again for sure.

The service was amazing, with Tim turning the heater on prior to our arrival, and making sure we arrived okay. The room was clean and cosy. And it's a perfect location to make a trip up to Falls creek from.

The rooms are absolutely spotless and the beds are very comfortable. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed, I stay here whenever I’m the area working and wish all motel owners/managers were this good. Cheers Tim see you next time

Literally the best accommodation I ever had!

Lost my car's key fob on falls creek and got trapped for 3 hours. Just when we were so desperate for help, Tim kindly offered to pick us up from the mountain and drove us back to the motel!

On the next day, Tim even lent us a ute so we can wander around the town while waiting for a friend to deliver my spare key.

I can't express with words how grateful I am for the all the help Tim gave us. We're going back and staying at Moth Motel again in two weeks!

Stayed overnight at this motel before a hike up Mt Bogong the next morning. The hosts John and Maureen were absolutely gorgeous and made us feel so welcome and special. The room was lovely and there was a range of free DVD's to watch. Really enjoyed being there.
