Ovens View

If you're looking for 5 star accommodation, this is not it. What it is, is a cute 70s grandparents' place. It has everything you could need , a comfy bed, cooking facilities, and plenty of hot water for a shower after a day out in the cold. Yes it's dated and the furniture is a bit old, but overlooking that , this is great value for money. It was clean and comfortable.

Spacious and comfortable self serviced apartments centrally located in the heart of Bright. Well maintained with very friendly and extremely helpful caretaker/manager. Easy walking distance to many of the truly amazing features of Bright, including the beautiful Ovens River which is like walking into your own backyard

I love this place and book it every year for the Adventure Travel Film Festival in February. Yes some of the decor could use an update but the pricepoint reflects the simplicity. Bright is a hugely expensive town and to get a self contained unit with cooking and laundry facilities for this price is just marvellous. It's clean with a great view of the river and SO CLOSE to everything in town - stumbling distance to the brewery!

Clean and large apartments, right in the heart of town, Ovens river running at the back, Woolies only 50mts away. Manager Greg 10/10 very knowledgeable and helpful you wouldn't want any more.

Clean and comfortable

We stayed in Unit 4, the meet-and-greet was very friendly and helpful. Yes , the furniture and appliances were dated, BUT it was a spacious unit, everything was clean and spotless, plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware: so good to have a full kitchen! The shower was hot with great pressure, the bed was very comfortable with clean linen. The location was excellent, everything within walking distance. Not quite sure what else people expect from this pricepoint, but it was great value: would we come back?? Definitely.

Cheap accommodation right in the heart of Bright. I had unit 6, which is the only 2nd level unit. A little noisy as it is on street level and traffic is quite heavy through there. But location to river and Bright attractions is fantastic.

Warm in winter, comfortable, clean. Beautiful view over the Ovens River and neighbouring parkland. Walking trails border the property including "The Canyon Walk" which is a scenic 1 hour walk. It's only 300m from the Vline bus stop so it's within easy rolling-luggage distance. The supermarket and many shops and eating places are within 100-200 metres walk. They are close enough to be convenient and far enough that Ovens View remains peaceful and quiet. One star off for a small amount of maintenance needed. Our family had a great stay and we will be back.

The location is fantastic, looking out over the Ovens River and a lovely garden area.
Some of the furniture is a bit dated but our bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed.
