Rocky Cape Roadhouse

We'd been camping down at Black River, and stopped in on our way home for some petrol. Cheaper than Detention River at the time by five cents a litre. Seemed like it would be a good food stop too, but didn't have the need.

Fantastic staff. Food is always fresh. We run a local BnB and refer all our guests here. Great petrol and diesel at great prices.

Petrol, pies, supplies, and potato cakes. If you're holidaying, take the detour and head up the road next to the roadhouse and visit Rocky Cape National Park and the historic lighthouse. There's also a short walk that starts about 100m down the hill from the lighthouse that takes you to an indigenous cave, which is also the first cave measured by a surveyor in Australia! Rocky Cape has amazing rock formations with vivid colours, and for those of you with a boat, a really good easterly facing boat ramp.

Good Customer Service, best fish and chips in the north west. If you have a problem with salt then say only a small amount please.. simple.

Just called in for fuel. Bought a couple of coffees and a piece of jam slice. Slice was delicious and coffee great too. Service friendly and quick. They have some great looking prepared hot food in their box. Well done Rocky Cape Roadhouse.

The food is freshly cooked to order and I declare this Roadhouse has the best chicken burger on the coast! Coffee is great and the chai is divine. Staff are fantastic and super friendly. Always our go to when travelling that part of the state

Cheaper fuel than Burnie, Wynyard and even Launceston.
