Herberton Wild River Caravan Park

I'm only fairly new to travelling but have stayed in a few different parks in north qld and have to say this is the best one around , the staff are so friendly and willing to help in anyway, the amenities are also the cleanest by far , also cheapest around and a great home base to explore the beautiful Tablelands!

Came here with my family, expectations were low, admittedly, but all expectations were beaten. Staff were friendly and polite, rooms were decent, and very clean. Very quiet and peaceful! Only stayed one night, but it was great! Thank you!

Loved this place has a real colonial feel except I chose to camp on a fence line that was like on the other side of someone’s back yard. Was wet n windy but I’m sure it’s a beautiful stay when it’s sunny n warm. Low cost unpowered at $15 per night

Just arrived at the wonderfull Park.
I love it!
Very spacious and natural surroundings.
The camp kitchen is fantastic! They have another camp kitchen with an old stone BBQ and fire place, which is fantastic. The bird life is great!
The park is 2ks out of town Atherton side.
The staff were very friendly and easy.
Would definitely recommend this park.

Great park to visit the Historical Village. Big sites with plenty of room. Lovely trees, quiet good clean amenities and friendly hosts

Great location to all nearby townships and especially only within walking distance to Historic Village Herberton!

What a gem this place is !!!

Stayed in one of the must be almost new cabins - very clean and the beds where super comfortable - park at your front door

Robyn and Dannielle where super friendly and nothing was any trouble for them

Very large shady park - apparently you can see rabbits here but we unfortunately didn’t

Across the road is the river - a short 2 minute drive uptown there are a couple of old fashioned pubs that have a charm all of their own and well priced beer

If you don’t want to be bombarded with a thousand rules as soon as you enter a caravan park this place is the right one

Easy going and relaxed - there’s also a very inviting camp kitchen here and a wood hut for the winter fire pit gatherings- awesome!!

And then there’s the Historic Village - WOW !!

Roll back your clocks 30-50-100years and enjoy a few days or a weekend turned back in time

What a great neat, tidy and friendly park. Rustic camp kitchen and a drive to town.
The office has frozen meals. The Jacaranda Cafe is the only real place to eat.
We didn't have a good pub experience. Which is a shame because the two hotels let down the historical great little community.

Great amenities that are super clean and well laid out. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Tidy camp ground and lots to do in town nearby. Will definitely stay here again

Stayed here for an emergency stay for the week and felt like I could just pack my life up and move in, such friendly owners who keep the grounds in a very tidy state..

My recommendation when setting up a camp would be higher on the hill in the wet season, will definitely be returning here again

This family owned park is a great place to stay they are really great people and very nice, friendly. This park is also pet friendly and very quiet place to stay highly recommend.👍🙂

Had a most enjoyable four nights in this lovely park. The grounds are well kept and ammenities were extremely clean. There is a building where residents can gather, light a fire, have a drink and chin wag - I did really enjoy that. Nice little town, Herberton. Would go back to Wild Rver if I am in the area again. RECOMMENDED.

What a little gem. Sites are well spread out with some shade for most. Near our site was a double ensuite style ammenities block, very modern and regularly cleaned. In the campgrounds a rustic camp kitchen with enough cooking equipment and cutlerly for those travelling light. The park is close to the road but there is no loud traffic noise as it is not a major industrial use road.

Another fabulous caravan park on the Tablelands. This one has a real country feel and look about it with probably the cleanest amenities. The best hot shower ever. We will definitely return. Rated very highly. Thank you so much

Our camping stay here was great. Perfect clean facilities. Warm welcome. Best camp kitchen. Definitely recommend. Can't wait to stay again.

Fantastic owners, very country, quiet, walking distance to the museum great amenities, newly renovated, great cabin. Made to fe feel at home. Come and stay for a week.

Loved staying at Wild River Caravan Park.. Amenities clean and tidy. Peaceful in amongst the trees. Park owner Derrick is a great friendly bloke. Would come stay here again.
