Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Cairns! The hotel is centrally located walking distance to great restaurants and the esplanade.
The hotel pool was amazing, loved the swim up bar. Special mention to Deb (the kids program manager), she was wonderful and the kids adored all the wonderful activities she arranged.

Only 2 negatives.
1. The housekeeping was average, maybe because it was the last room to be cleaned each day but was not cleaned well and surfaces not wiped.
2. The weekend by the pool was busy with all the day pass local guests. We could not get a chair by the pool when outside pass guests were there over the weekend.

Apart from that, excellent stay and highly likely we will return!

Staying at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort was an absolute delight. My trip to Cairns spanned three days, with plans to dive in the Great Barrier Reef on one day and simply unwind in the resort on the others. I must say, booking this hotel was a stroke of luck. The room exceeded my expectations – it was impeccably comfortable, spotlessly clean, and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom boasted a fantastic shower (thankfully, no bathtub in sight!) and a generously sized sink that easily accommodated all my toiletries.

The resort's swimming pool was a highlight – expansive enough to cater to families with kids splashing about, young adults mingling at the pool bar, and serene seniors basking in the warm Cairns sun on their loungers.

Perhaps one of the most memorable aspects of my stay was the breakfast experience. While slightly pricier, it offered a great variety of options. I was particularly impressed by the extensive array of gluten-free choices, which catered perfectly to my husband's celiac requirements. The inclusion of a dedicated toaster for gluten-free bread was a thoughtful touch.

If I were to nitpick, I'd mention that the shower's half glass wall did little to contain water splashes, resulting in a wet bathroom floor. Additionally, the pool area could benefit from more beach umbrellas to accommodate all guests seeking shade while enjoying their leisure time outdoors.

Overall, my stay at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the comfortable accommodations to the thoughtful amenities and picturesque poolside, it truly made my Cairns getaway unforgettable.

Impressive resort - rooms were very clean and well appointed, the location was second to none and the staff were absolutely amazing - very attentive and welcoming from the front reception to the restaurant to housekeeping. The pool is great, especially for young children as there are plenty of toys set out by staff every morning. Highly recommend

We only stayed 1 night with 2 adults and 2 kids. We absolutely loved our room. It had a great view of the pool and out beyond we could see the ocean in the distance. It was very clean and comfortable. Location excellent. Would stay again and recommend it.

Lovely rooms, sound proof for a good night’s sleep. Has a nice pool and restaurant that serves up very affordable promotion meals on different days. Their 300g rump steak is a fantastic choice for dining under $30.

Easy access to the lagoon, Night Markets and Woolies. Cairns Central is just a few minutes walk away.

Really enjoyed my stay here for the weekend. Rooms were clean and well maintained as compared to some dated buildings in Cairns.
The buffet was amazing, the pool is big, but one thing I noticed was not a lot of pool chairs.
Happy hour is solid $9 a pint of beer!
Housekeeping friendly and accommodating of requests.

First time in Cairns and the staff at the Novotel resort have been fantastic, really made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Food is excellent and well priced. Ideal location short walk to most places, really happy we picked this hotel.

My family and I stayed for one night and really enjoyed our stay even if it was short, the team was super friendly, gave us info on school holiday activities while there and accommodated for our late check out. We did find the pool to be murky looking but was advised this was due to the sand on the edge. Would recommend to families who would like to just sit back and relax.

Had a great experience at the pool bar with Nick serving us during the weekend. He works very hard and push all the bar staffs to be in the same level. During the breakfast we also met one of the Hosts maybe manager who was in on the Wednesday 8th, she was lovely and very helpful to suggest places to go around the city!
Breakfast buffet was looking a bit poor, eggs weren’t warm and not many options at the buffet. Had breakfast only one day at the hotel.
Chicken wings specials also were great and very tasty! 🤤

Best place for locals to come down, cool down, and have a drink.
Locals purchase tickets at the front desk to have access to the pool & swim up bar (currently $20 per adult), which gives you that amount in credit to use at the bar on food & drinks.
Great for all ages!

The Novotel Cairns Oasis was the perfect hotel for my trip to Northern Queensland. Centrally located, room was fantastic, all the staff were amazingly helpful. Loved my time here.

I actually came here for Breakfast and it's definitely the best spot to go too for all you can eat breakfast buffet. Quick at topping up. Breakfast is fresh and the variety of selection is ON ON ON. They make free coffees too and that never disappoints.

At a very convenient location, the oasis swimming pool is the best part of the resort.

The hotel is 200m from the bus station, in very close proximity to the esplanade and the reef terminal. Overall a very pleasant stay and supportive staff.

A must book place. These guys were brilliant hosts. One of the best I have experienced. Isn't a 5 start place but the people definitely make it feel a 5 star experience.
If you have kids take them here. The people working here really do look after you and your family. Great pool area

All the hotels up and down the esplanade in this $3-400 range are very similar in prices and services. After reading many reviews I went with Novotel due to a lack of complaints in other reviews about thin walls, night clubs, rude staff and dodgy European holiday makers trying to reserve all the sun beds and/or any random person on the street coming in to use the pool.

The staff at eery encounter, front desk, chamber maid, pool bar, restaurant, gym, etc - were always so happy, engaging and helpful. A real asset. Kids got on well with other kids and the general pricing was appropriate too.

Beach towel service is also a great help!!

Their online photos need updating as they don't do the place justice! It is better than what they present.

Excellent hotel, service, breakfast is complete, so many options and an entire section dedicated to gluten free items. Beautiful pool in the hotel. I strongly recommend staying at Novotel.

We recently stayed at the Novotel Cairns and our experience was excellent. The staff really made the stay. They were all lovely and very friendly. Big shoutout to Melanie who was amazing! Her enthusiasm and brightness made our day and she always went the extra step to look after us. She deserves an award! Location was great easy walk to the shops and reef terminal. The pool was lovely and there were plenty of shady places to sit. Thanks to all for a memorable stay.

We arrived at 3am as our flight got delayed, the staff here were so kind and respectful to us, even upgraded our room free of charge. The hotel is located within walking distance of everything so no need to worry about that. One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at.

This stay was the ideal balance between work and personal. Property is centrally located within walking distance to plenty of dining options. The hotel facilities especially the pool area are resort worthy guaranteeing a relaxing stay.

Great Resort. Loved the swim up bar. Daily happy hour and food specials were good. Friendly , helpful staff. Good service. Easy check- in and check-out. Great atmosphere. Deluxe King room with pool view was a perfect choice. Enjoyed everything about our stay at Cairns Novotel Oasis Resort. Would highly recommend.
