My wife saw her back in about 1995/6. Initial diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis and treated for same. Our GP referred us to another gastro in Brisbane as he was unhappy with her treatment plan. . She was rushed into emergency surgery. Since that time she has had an iliostomy which likely could have been avoided if appropriate treatment was initially rendered. She has lived with ongoing pain for the last 28 years with her undergoing recent surgery again. Taken a long time to put this on but the frustration I have for her suffering needs to be noted.
