Super chill and family friendly location. Service was pleasant and fast.

Area was clean and the beach is directly in front of the venue. We had fish and chips and they were fresh and delicious.

Most people seemed to be getting takeaway so there were plenty of seats.

Came by on a Monday arvo for a quick meal beside the beach and it was fabulous. We got battered cod, potato scallop and calamari. Everything was fresh and not too heavy or oily, my partner (who isn’t a very big fan of calamari) surprisingly enjoyed the calamari and I’d say it’s one of the best I’ve had, it wasn’t tough at all, perfectly cooked. Only one guy was at the shop managing both the till and kitchen- there were a few ppl waiting but he still managed to get our order out fast!! Shoutout to the tall Asian man with the buzz cut. Didn’t get his name but he’s doing a great job! Would definitely come by again, thanks for the great meal!

It’s been so incredibly difficult finding good fish and chips until someone recommended The Boat Shed in Scarborough. And it was everything I have been dreaming about (And More!). We ordered the Boat Shed Box for 3 that was packed with cod fillets, calamari, prawn cutlets, sea scallops and chips. Everything was perfect. The chips had that perfect crunch on the exterior and a wonderful soft centre. The cod fillets had the right amount of crispy batter that was just thick enough to get the satisfactory crunch and not pouring with oil. The fillets were so tender and juicy and not like frozen icicles. The prawn cutlets were huge and gourmet in both taste and texture. Likewise, the scallops were massive and tasted absolutely heavenly. The entire meal was much better than many high end restaurant fare and I was not disappointed. Given the exceptional taste and quality of the meal, I think the $55 price for the whole pack is so incredibly well priced. I wish I could give them a million stars but I hope my appreciation will cover some of that distance. Just WOW! But don’t take my word for it, please find out for yourself.

Wandering through the area and thought some fish and chips by the beach would be good. Nice food in fact be up there as amongst the best takeaways I've had. The sweet potato was a nice touch. The food was cooked spot on and overall I was impressed. Not greasy as I have typically found other places to be and I suspect the oil is regularly changed so no off flavours.

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. The fish is fresh and tender, chips are proper size and cooked to perfection. Will be back again!

We got there as our friends recommend this place. We ordered the family pack and added extra; calamari, prawns and salad. The corn served with the basket was unusual, but surprisingly it went well with all. The salad was good. The batter for the fries seem to have peppers in it, and it was amazing! The fish batter was thin and crispy and made us think that we should have ordered more fish than calamari and prawns. Calamari was good but other than the batter it was ordinary, I think. Prawns were good.

Great location. Friendly and efficient service. Large fish pack was fantastic. Crispy fish cooked perfectly and chips crispy and hot. Crumb prawns equally delicious. Easy parking with disabled parking at the door. Tables very clean and plenty of room between tables. Great decorations. Cooking area very clean and tidy. Will definitely be back.

Tonight's experience was wonderful. The food came decently promptly, we got our drinks and dinner came within a very reasonable time, pretty much right after we finished sipping our drinks. Dinner was very lovely, we got a Scarborough Box and added prawns and squid on top of it because we wanted a wide range of things. The seafood was yum, the fish was cooked well and tasted wonderful, the squid was crumbed in salt and pepper and was lovely. The chips were seasoned nicely and tasted good. It was a nice, positive, family experience for all involved! Thanks Boat Shed crew. Depicted is our smallest member (who is a chippy connoisseur) and is very particular with if chips are to his liking and these passed the bar, his little hand kept on going back. Definitely good for families or date nights :)

Nice friendly staff with fast service. Food was presented amazingly and tasted wonderful. We had 2x fish burgers and chips. BEST COFFEE ASWELL!

Came out of the store and helped me manage get my grandson of our bike and park it up. As a bonus the food was good and reasonably priced.

Well chips are hard to be failed anywhere-else.
But omg the batters on fishes... they are amazing!!!

Friends from Sydney were craving a feed of fish n chips. We reckoned we've always got a good meal here so recommended that we go.
When our serves came ( we each ordered a $10 fish n chips and a salad to share, plus 2 x gingerbeer and 2 x traditional lemonade) I had thought they were small serves BUT it was just the perfect amount and was delicious. The fresh lemon gave a good zest.
It took about 15 mins for our order. We secured a great table right outside, facing Scarborough Beachfront.
We were all delighted with our meal, and best of all, our friends shouted us. I was so pleased we picked the Boat Shed Scarborough

Had the two person box: Succulent fish and calamari with a generous serve of chips and presented very well. Great service. Highly recommended for a Saturday or Sunday lunch.

Very, very good fish and chips. Probably the best I've had in the S.E. corner of Qld. You pay what I consider fair and decent for a large serve, and the food is fresh and tasty. If you think you can get better quality for cheaper, you are living in a land of fantasy, or you are the type of person that has their taste in their rectum. I will drive from Wynnum to spend my money on fish and chips here. The calimari was superb! We had the box for two, the good wife and I, and both went home full as eggs, and taking some back home with us. Extremely satisfied.

This was hands down one of the best seafood and chip experiences that I have had in Australia. From the Simplicity of ordering to sitting down checking out the amazing view only to be rudely interrupted in about 7 minutes to be told that by order was ready to go.
This is what Fish & Chips is meant to be about quick simple fresh crunchy leaving you with a grin from ear to ear.
