Best place in the world

Stopped for lunch on our way to Cairns. We both had crumded steak and chips . I asked for salad and offered to pay extra for it but apparently it was either too hard or they didn't have any?

I would be very disappointed to know of our experience today if I was the publican.
I’ve never stopped at the pub for a meal before. Today just validated why I don’t need to eat out because we can eat better at home. $44 for 2 tiny lunch meals that took over an hour to come out. Meanwhile our friends had well and truly finished eating long before we got ours. What can I say but wow! In normal restaurants the meals on a table would all be brought out at the same time so that we can arrive and leave together but that wasn’t our experience.
Disappointing as was the price and size of the meals.The steak burger was more of a slider with a dismal piece of steak and the chicken schnitzel was absolutely tiny, a handful of chips and some nice salad but a really poor effort for the time and money spent today.

WARNING: NEVER STOP HERE
My girlfriend was the way to a funeral, and requested to use the toilet. She was desperate to do so. When she used the toilet, the pub staff proceeded to spray her with a hose through the window, presumably because she had not bought a drink yet.
She felt intimidated, and that her privacy had been violated. She was already distraught, as you could appreciate (funeral), and left the premises absolutely shaken.

After over 20 years of stopping at this pub for drinks (both Cairns locals) me and wife stopped there today(3/08/20 on my way to work in innisfail because my wife had to use the toilet (that time of month came on suddenly) only to be rudely told by the bargirl (no you have to by something first.the fact we had our kids with us and I was on my way to work meant we couldn't stop for a quick beer like normal. So basically we'll never stop here again and tell our friends about their terrible service..
