Tropicana Motel

Nice clean rooms , modern claen tidy ensuite, some extra touches. Close to Surfers Paradise and short walk to all things Broadbeach.

My husband and I had a awesome time. The rooms are clean and tidy. Very spacious, cheap and close to everything. Only 2mins walk to the trams and buses. We have stayed there before and of course went back again this weekend gone. Close to the casino plus we never had to use our car. If you need a weekend away their a place to stay especially when you need a break and do sightseeing.

Had a great stay, the place was taken care off and clean. We stayed overnight and had a peace of mind knowing we’ve got this place to stay at. It’s close to a tram station if you want to go to other places like surfers paradise which is just a few stops away. It’s walking distance to a park and the beach. John and Dee took good care of the place and their customers. The usual toiletries are provided but if you intend to stay longer it’s better to have your own supply of toiletries for the duration of your stay, although you’d be happy to know that there are also shops nearby where you can buy them. Plenty of other shops to get food, do laundry and what not.

We stayed at the Tropicana for four nights over New Years and really enjoyed it. The location is awesome - just across the road from Pacific Fair and the light rail into Surfers and a 15 minute straight shot on the bus down to Burleigh - and even though we had a car we only used it half the time. The owners are super friendly and make you feel at home, and the facilities are great. Our room was super clean with a nice big bathroom, and the in-room kitchen stuff meant we could sort ourselves for breakfast easily. Definitely gave us the relaxing few days away we were after!

Perfect for a short stay. Looks a bit poor on the outside but inside a pleasant surprise - renovated rooms, very clean and new furnishings. A great bed for a good sleep, and all you need. Convenient, easy to find and park. Good price and very friendly owners/managers.

Honestly, a fantastic motel to stay at. If I ever find myself needing to go back to the Gold Coast, I will stay here. I traveled on my own and was on the floor level, but felt just as safe. Clean, modern amenities. Plenty of space to unpack your luggage, and I loved laying in the bed with the big tv at the end; a great way to relax after a big day of exploring. Keep up the great work!

wife and I were down at the Gold Coast for our work Christmas party. We decided to stay the night. The Tropicana motel was very close to where we were going. fantastic room, good service, great pool. would go and stay there again without a second thought

After Expedia bungled the booking and were hopeless with fixing it, I called the motel directly and spoke with the wonderful Kathy. Kathy was professional and friendly and she took the time to understand my situation and to find a solution that worked for us. The stay was great, the location was excellent and central to where we needed to be, and the whole experience was positive. My daughter and I will be back, and this time we’re bringing Nanna! (And booking direct, not with Expedia!)

Had to find a nice little spot for a couple of nights while I had my wisdom teeth removed... this spot is affordable and comfortable, a friendly cosey vibe! Enjoyed my stay very much, if you're after somewhere super quiet and secluded this isn't the place for you as you do hear the traffic, which is out of anyones control... BUT do not let that be a problem if you want close access to Pacific Fair, the beach, a walk away from awesome venues to eat and have a drink or 8... dope little place!

Would stay again for sure!

Excellent venue I've been visiting this motel since the late 1990s always top service and a friendly place to stay.

Great stay. Clean and comfortable.
Definitely good value for money.
Friendly staff. Excellent location for Pacific Fair, Draculas caberet and the Star casino all within easy walking distance. As well as some good breakfast options.

Great place for a short stay, has conditioned air, fridge, microwave, toast and a kettle.
Location is fantastic, 100m from mermaid beach, few minutes from the shopping mall and close to restaurants and nightlife.
Staff is gentle and the place verte quite, perfect for relax.

There had been a misunderstanding upon checking into our accommodation and we were left 1 night short. After knowing we needed to be out our room with NO where to go ww decided to go see Tropicana where we wanted to originally stay but they were fully booked. Speaking to John, and telling him our situation he gave us a room 4 the night, exceptional service, clean room and amazing facilities. They were so understanding and accommodated our needs for a family of 7. The respect and gratitude i have for the GORGEOUS owners is beyond words. Our next business/leisure trip will be booked directly through John & Dee at Trpoicana.

On behalf of the Addamo family and myself we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Putting a roof over our heads esp with all the kids will be forever appreciated.

This motel on the inside is the same standards as a hotel. We usually book the Phoenician hotel, but after staying here, we wont go elsewhere. Highly recommend them to anyone who has a short or long stay like ourselves. Thank you and all the best for 2019.

Exactly what was desperately required. AC, cozy, clean, TV & a shower. Short walk to the beach. Great night sleep. Lovely pool & smoking area away from the units. Loved the friendly staff xox. Would definitely recommend when on the GC

I liked everything about this motel. Crowne n Jupiter casinos very near. And specially surfers paradise is not far too. I will definitely stay here in future when i come again in Gold Coast.

We stayed here last December 2018 in the family room n couldn't fault the place ,very clean n didn't smell like a motel room which was great .we will definitely be staying here again 😊

They are slowly increasing price, but it is very nice. To the owners. I stay here often, but getting away from the 100-110 range and it becomes a bit much.
