I'd been going to various bulk billing trying to get progress on my medical issue, but never saw any improvement. I'd seen so many doctors over the years that I never thought that I would get the care I needed. Since I have been seeing Dr Wilmot, I've have very proactive attention and have seen a marked improvement in my condition for the first time in 7 years. Yes you have to pay for a consultation, but in my case, the payment for the superior service has been well worth it. Highly recommended

I visited the clinic for the first time today. Dr Craig Lilienthal was very patient and helped me understand the medical aspects before starting with the medical test. He was very warm and made me think of all the positive things of the test rather than focusing of having negative results. I was comfortable to share everything and highly recommend Dr Craig.

I've been going to Benchmark Medical for years with Dr Lilienthal - who is an excellent GP. They don't bulk bill, but a typical consultation usually costs around $80 and then you get something like 30-40 back from Medicare. If that is a problem for you and you want a bulk billing practice, then it's probably better to find somewhere else. But in my experience, I'm happy to pay the extra for the great service, Doctors who run pretty close to on time and who are also happy to spend extra time with you and not rush you out the door. I'll be going here for many years to come even though I don't work in the CBD anymore and could probably find a closer clinic.

Great practice! Have been going here for years. Very thorough, knowledgeable doctors, prompt and attentive follow-up and great reception staff. Very convieniently located in Martin Place and slightly longer hours than most practices. Beautiful layout and offices compared to average gp practice. Highly recommend!!

The doctor I used to see retired. I though she was excellent. But I was not happy about the high charge the last time I visited. The fees seem to vary. I have been charged just the scheduled fee on some occasions which was rebated. It seems that the doctor charges whatever they feel like. I have been told that I should ask the doctor how much there fees are. But I was really not happy the last time. Best to ask questions.

A customer for 18 months, my doctor retired. I began seeing a new doctor who gave me sound medical advice. However, charged me a double appointment ($180) for a consultation that went slightly over 15min. The doctor never mentioned my appointment had gone over 15min as the doctor was going over test results. A complaint was raised to which the reply was it my fault for not being aware of their policies and procedures. Also I should have been aware of the time that had elapsed. Please inform the clients if they are going close to 15min, or give them the whole 30min consultation if you are going to charge double. Will not be back there, and never had this issue with Dr Sebastian.

Highly discourage from going here, I saw a Dr as a new patient who was great but didn’t advise he was retiring the next month. Was moved to another doctor who RUSHED through appointments, charged me close to $200 for SEVEN MINUTES of face time with the doctor who didn’t listen, rushed the whole time and wrote me the wrong prescription (although she had written the correct one during my prior visit, so she could have easily checked my record to confirm). I guess that’s to be expected with so much rushing. When I realized and called to ask that she rewrite for the correct RX I was told she would charge me $44 for rewriting the RX she messed up. They eventually agreed not to charge me but she would only write 6 days of medication and said I would need to come back and pay for another appointment for her to write more. I will not be going back and will find another practice. The doctor was much more concerned with charging me the highest possible amount for the least amount of work than she was with providing medical service. Terrible service for a GP practice. I’m not sure if the other doctors at the practice operate like that but why risk it, find another practice.

The doctor I saw today was disappointing. I was clearly in a distressful situation and she insisted on pushing personal conversations despite my obvious discomfort. The extra care factor was appreciated but it could have been managed better. Her assistance was not unwanted. However, you could clearly see that she was exacerbating my circumstances and that further conversations may have been more appropriate for another occasion. In the end I had to snap at her in order for her to stop, and as a result I spent the remainder of the consultation trying to reassure her as she was clearly upset by this. The consultation wasn't cheap and my doctor's personal emotions were more important than mine. Very poor treatment to receive when you are visibly uncomfortable and in need of support.

I went there with a specific problem . I Told the doctor about my problem and she suggested doing some tests. I said I didn't need them because I knew what the problem was and just by looking at it anyone would be able to tell what the issue was (as many doctors before her had done) . However, she didn't listen to me, sent the tests and made me come back again a week later . Result: I had to pay for 2 consultations plus the tests for her to tell me what I already knew and have her recommend some non prescribed medication. Not impressed.

Worst Medical Centre ever!!!
I went in this morning after incurring a deeeeeeeep cut in my finger in a bike accident, and after telling the receptionist that I was in pain and need immediate treatment, she told me another patient (that wasn't even there yet), has made an appointment and I may have to wait an hour (possible risking to loose my finger). I mean WTF?

I actually would still be laughing about it if it wasn't so sad...

Obviously I went to another MC and was treated immediately as it was in fact an emergency and my finger got saved.
