Craig Cook The Natural Butcher (North Rocks)

Highly recommend. They're efficient and super friendly. We've ordered a few times and only had one problem with the meat (which happens, especially on a hot day). We emailed and they replaced the meat for us with no problems.

My favorite local butcher; they always have a nice variety of meats (better quality with organic and grass-fed options) and their great customer service is a nice change from supermarket chains. I shop here frequently and am always served well by the staff. Today the staff even grabbed a trolley for me because they thought the meat might be a bit too heavy for the shopping bag, it was very considerate and thoughtful! Went above and beyond, 10/10, thank you guys!

Have bought meat from these guys a few times now and love the quality of the meat and the service from the staff. Most recently bought a few new york steaks for the family for dinner. These were delicious! The guys behind the counter are always friendly and helpful.

2nd time buying meat from these guys. Absolutely reccomend their meat. Shop Display looks beautiful, lots of options and something for every budget. Homemade sausages are the best I have tried by far!! Also a BIG shoutout to Mel on her customer service, very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomended.

We normally buy beef sausages here because our kids only eat this, don't like usually sausages from coles or woolies but yesterday we tried the jelepeno pork, I'm usually not a sausage person, but me and my wife just found a new found love for sausages, so hot!!! And absolutely amazing, don't need any sauce, just eat it as it is.

All products that I have purchased have been excellent. Succulent meat and great bacon.

Their rissoles are to die for! They also give out free tastings out the front, its all you can smell when you walk in to the shops. Highly recommend.

Bloody good sausages. We had turkey, wagyu, pork and lamb. Some unique original flavours plus some classics. All delicious.

Congratulations to Management on replacing the former staff and management.
I had enquired as to the obvious change in attitude of the current staff and was informed that new staff had been appointed.
I made a purchase AND was provided with a receipt identifying the meat, the price and summary of my purchase. I 'had' been [I was about to change butchers] a customer for a lengthy period. I have never received or offered any receipt previously.
If fact on this occasion the meat was weighed directly in front of me - on looking back the males serving me found it necessary to move to the opposite scale to weigh and I was later given a verbal cost.
On this occasion I was served by a pleasant young lady, an equally pleasant young man [her brother] was also noted.

Old staff were much better. Real customer service. Seems like current staff are forced to provide “excellent customer service” by not leaving you alone to think and continuously suggesting what is “good value” often these suggestions are products that are not wanted.

I’ve been buying meat from this butcher since it opened in North Rock, I always thought that meat from the supermarket was the same as from the butcher but when I tried Craig Cook I realised I was wrong. I was more then happy to pay a bit more for meat that was so much better then the supermarkets and other butchers. Then unexpectedly the price of everything went up more then 10% over night, when I asked about the change in price the staff member became apprehensive and rudely said that the prices hadn’t changed.

Because the meat was so good I continued to purchase meat there, but recently the prices have gone down, which sounds good until you eat the meat. The quality of the beef in particular Is rubbish now. It tastes bad and also looks bad.

The old staff that, coincidentally, all resigned on the same day would inform me of how the management of the company wouldn’t listen to their suggestions of how to increase sales and entice new customers to shop there. The staff on the front line know what’s happening, listen to them. The current staff are friendly and do their best, but seem scared of management and are not as personable as the previous staff.

Have shopped here a few times (maybe 4-5 times) trying to support a smaller business, rather than Coles. The meat appears good, more expensive than supermarket but I think the quality is better. However, very turned off by the poor hygiene techniques of the serving staff. This is the second instance out of only a few visits that makes me think this is a trend. First, buying mince, the server drops mince all over the scales and onto the counter, happily putting it back into the bag for me to buy? I asked for new meat. Second, buying beef steaks recently, the meat flopping out of the plastic bag onto the scales, the server using bare hands to grab more then touching efpos machine etc. Adding unnecessary contamination is really going to shorten the lifespan of the meat in the fridge if you aren't cooking it the same day. I think the owner/who ever is in charge needs to train these people more thoroughly as it reflects very poorly on the establishment. If this is what is happening in plain view, you only wonder what happens out of sight. I really hope someone can get the message as I would like to support smaller business.
