Blu Ginger

On a day trip to Canberra we landed up at this place. The place turned out to be good and the staff was very courteous and welcoming.

We had ordered Butter Nan, Roti, Peas pulao , paneer tikka masala and malai kofta. The food was delicious.... The Nan is next level and the rice was very tasty too. Prices are reasonable as well. Overall a good dining experience and a place definitely worth visiting for good india food.

This place is conveniently located near Canberra center. Ample parking spaces nearby in the open parking or in the multi level car park of the shopping center.

Good location in the main city. Atmosphere is very nice inside. Food and service was really impressive. Our family loved the veg biryani.. we will try more variety when we visit again..

Tonight I went to Blu Ginger.
This was a magnificent dining experience.
Food served very quickly.
Staff extremely approachable and accommodating.
Be aware: the lollipop chicken, whilst delicious, was rather a little more hot than I would typically volunteer to endure.
The naan and butter chicken were sublime, I would be a fool not to purchase them from this restaurant again.
They have this thing which apparently is mint chutney, it is very good.
I didn't see any blue ginger, despite the name, but if ginger is blue there's probably something wrong with it so stick to curry and naan.
10/10, inspired to return.

The food was absolutely tasty. We have ordered eggplant curry and paneer butter masala.
We have also ordered some cocktails and mocktails. We loved our drinks.
The service was also good.
We enjoyed our experience and would love to come back.

Ordered Butter Chicken & Garlic cheese Nann both of which were superb.
Order was ready very quickly.
I have concerns about having a sit down meal within the restaurant as the architecture provides a echo chamber for boisterous revellers.

Always great food with very friendly service. We had garlic naan, goat curry, pistachio chicken and a chicken biryani. The food came out within 15-20 minutes which seems like a decent time. They also accept Taste Voucher, so we received 25% off from the entire meal. Also recommend the coconut water, very refreshing in the summer heat.

The best Indian food we ever had. we were a group of 8 .every one enjoyed a lot. Tried Indian masala lemonade it was just awesome. staff was very courteous in fulfilling all our request with the smiling face.
will be coming back for sure with my ANU gang. keep rocking guys.

Blu Ginger is an extremely good Indian restaurant, I had a lovely meal here. I had the butter chicken which was very tasty - I was with a group and everyone had a lovely meal, I had a lot of food envy, so I'll have to come back and try some of the other dishes!

Service was excellent and efficient and the staff were super friendly and helpful. A huge thanks as well to the owners, I came with a large group and they were able to fit us in at short notice and everyone had a wonderful evening, I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Canberra!

You can’t go wrong with Blu Ginger for Indian food. I’ve tried a few Indian places in Canberra and none of them so far come close to Blu Ginger.

The food is delicious, flavorful, and well-priced. I also like that the restaurant is a big open space so it doesn’t feel claustrophobic.

Staff is also incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Superb food great flavours and authentic styles. Service was excellent. One of the best Indian meals I have had in NSW/ ACT. Highly recommend to any foodies.

Came in with my mum because our usual spot wasn’t open yet, and boy was it a surprise. The chicken Manchurian was my fav order! Only thing is we didn’t take photos. Toilets are clean & accessible; friendly staff.

We came to this establishment only because the one we wanted to go to was fully booked. Turned out that Blu Ginger has food that was more refined than our first choice and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We had momos and pani puri to start followed by a series of delicious curry dishes.

Service was good.

I recommend this establishment for anyone that is after refined Indian food.

Tried Tandoori Chicken, Goat Curry and Butter Chicken with Butter Naan. 🫓 Asked for Peas Pulao with less Ghee (Butter) as previously it was with a lot of butter and they accomodated. Overall very nice food on Genge Street.

Thought the rice was free flow, but second top up was charged for another one person. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the rich and creamy vegetarian dishes, especially the bringal, which was fluffy and delicious! The garlic naan and mango lassi were great too!

I had the most amazing dining experience at Blue Ginger Indian Restaurant in Canberra. Amazing place to enjoy some authentic Indian good. We stumbled apon it by mistake but I m so happy with them. The place was jam packed but still the service time was considerably acceptable. The food was so amazingly presented and teasty that I do not have single photo to share as we dug right in.
When we asked for little spicy food the dishes were actually good spice. They have amazing varieties of food and I specifically loved the range of kids menu.

It’s really nice when we visit here. I highly recommend the madras curry, it’s so good. Tandoori chicken wasn’t too salty and spicy and their nan is always so good. They do BYO.

Excellent restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. Our waiter recommended a better option than we had chosen which worked out much better. The meals were delicious. Busy, but not a long wait for meals to be served.
