Such a beautiful peaceful place to eat and relax! Although we did have to wait 5-10mins to be seated and our food did take a long time to come out. Other than that food was amazingly yummy! And the big pretzel was awesome! 👌

Been in Brissy 3 days. This was the best dining experience by far and IMO the best gastropub on the river. We ordered the southern chicken platter for 2. Better than any Fried Chicken and Beer speciality restaurant in Brisbane. Service friendly and fast. Lovely sitting by the river too.

Awesome beer, great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and accommodating even though we just rolled in without a reservation when the place was packed. It was happy hour, and they squeezed us in without missing a beat. The beer is cold, the pretzels are toasty and warm and the setting is fantastic.

The start was a little rocky cos someone ordered 3 plates of kiddies meals for a table of hungry adults 😂🥴

But soon after that, the arvo was back on track with beers flowing and the food platters eventually making their way to our tables. The pork belly dishes were pretty good, the bao with the perk belly in it was good too 👌🏻

We were in Brisbane for two nights. We happened upon this place and decided to have a beer and a pretzel for happy hour before moving on to another place for dinner. After receiving such amazing service from the entire staff we decided to stick around and even came back the next night for dinner as well. I am a restaurant manager in the U.S.A. and the hospitality we received was top notch. From the manager all the way to the server everyone was so professional and friendly. Curtis was the manager. Rebecca started us out with fantastic recommendations and then Peyton took over and we made a new friend. We felt at home and very comfortable here and will definitely be back if we ever make it back to Brisbane. Happy hour is a great value.

The schnitzels were fantastic and we had the Bavarian sampler the next day. Also wonderful . Belgium waffle topped with vanilla gelato and chocolate was superb.

Food was perfect! Great range on the menu, burgers, pork, chicken. Lots of German beers on offer. QR codes to order and pay at the table. Would recommend the fried pickles as a starter. It was really busy at lunch when we went but our food came out quickly and was very good quality.

Good good and service, fair price with big dishes.
Good view at both day and night time.

But need improvement on clearness, a little smelly on the menu.

All time favorite hangout place. They have happy hours everyday 4pm to 6pm. Great deals - 5$ Beer + free munchings.

Outstanding service! My friends and I loved the high energy and music and love some staff. German music was fun! We were greeted by Matt at front desk who was full of energy and actually cared. You could see his fun and passion. Beer was good and food amazing! Just need to have drink a little more fast.

Great place, the best deep fried pickles I've ever had. Got the Jack Daniels meal combo for two with my husband. So much food we couldn't finish it (and that's never happened). All so delicious. Only downfall was the loud live music that was almost deafening.

Had such a lovely family birthday dinner. Customer service was fabulous. Thanks Alex, Alex, Lewis, Camilo the bartender, Courtney, Shannon & Hyana for making it a special evening. View of the bridge was brilliant, German and pop music mash up❤

Just had the Ravioli - 10/10, friends tried Texan Schnitzel - HUGE portion! & mac n cheese balls and squid entrees. All delicious, no complaints, very quick and great service!

Beautiful view and a very good ambience. I loved my one litre beer jug and different varieties of beers which I haven’t heard and tried before. Service was quick too.

The portions were massive and food was delicious. Food servings were so generous that it was enough for two meals!

Great beers on tap, including a range of German beers. Great view down the Brisbane River to the Storey Bridge. Good menu, with some big meals. Thoroughly recommend the range of chicken snitties. You can order drinks and food from your table using the QR code. Some people have given this place a negative review, but my experiences here have all been positive.

I really enjoyed the sausage sampler and fries with paprika and aioli! The serving size is huge and the views are great as well!

This is the perfect spot to sit and watch the day pass you by. Trio of sausages and a glass of ginger beer (alcoholic) to wash it down. Yum!

We are so happy with the service we received on Saturday 11th September 2021 for my partner's 60th birthday celebrations. The staff were so helpful, the atmosphere was amazing, the music was great, the food was good and came out very fast. I would have no hesitation recommending The Bavarian for anyone's celebration. I can't remember the name of our female table attendant but we know she was Polish and she went above and beyond to help us. Five stars out of five. Thank you so much guys!

Went for a company social lunch - had the half portion pork knuckle and it was very filling - definitely sufficient for one person unless you are really hungry. Most of it was tender and crackling was crispy except for some bits on the outside which was overcooked. Could do with a bit more sauce. Had some lemon lime and bitters as well and it came in an absolutely enormous stein :) nice touch. great views over the water. Definitely worth a visit.

Had the best night here on Friday! Vibe was perfect and service on point. Gui looked after our table and I must say it felt very smooth. Will be back for more pork knuckle 10/10
