Scenic Rim Regional Council

I have been living in the area for a decade now and I have found the council to have really picked up it's customer service game. We built a new homestead on our block this year (2021) and it wasn't without the usual complications. As a result of the build, i have dealt with a number of different departments and everyone has been open, helpful and professional.

Fantastic service and friendly staff. Truely one of the best councils to deal with.

Been very helpful, easy to work with, it's all about attitude.

We visited in our van. The town was lovely but when it can to finding a dump point it was a joke. The only one is at the show grounds and it cost $10 to empty if you are not paying to stay there. This is just revenue raising. If you want people to stay in your town and spend money then you need to accommodate self contained vehicles.

Scenic rim council has issued me several notices due to my racist and discriminating neighbours complaints.
They have caused us so much stress. They don't check for evidence before issuing notices.
The first was that we have more then 19 chickens with out checking (we don't have 19 chickens).
Second was chickens making noise and my dog barking (due to neighbour trespassing and stressing my dog) again no recordings or proof.
The next issue of notice was due to road corridor use we had to fill an application and pay $100 only to be told by Engineer who visited the site that we didn't do anything wrong and they will put the $100 we paid on ice for the future.
When we mentioned surrounding neighbours have breeched council law the compliance officer and Engineer just shook their head and said they know.
This is pure discrimination.

I called up once a day for 4 days, each time being told that I will receive a call back within the day from the town planning department. Still haven’t heard a thing. Terribly un organised, and you can see why nobody in the scenic rim likes to deal with them.

drove past while they were hanging up the flags, couldn’t help but notice they didn’t raise the aboriginal flag.. whats the deal with that?

The Building and plumbing guys are totally useless.
Get a different answer off each one .
So inconsistent.
Worst southeast Queensland department I deal with hands down.
All they want are fees fees fees it's all about taking your money . Chris c
