I highly recommend the Modern Martial Arts program here if you are looking to train in a martial art that combines several different styles into one. A mixture of kicking, striking, grappling (and the practical application thereof) as well as traditional kata mean classes are always varied and interesting, training your brain as well as your body. I'm an adult student that has been training here for a couple of years, and while I have no desire whatsoever to be a "fighter", I do appreciate the value of the skills I have acquired, along with the other benefits of improved balance, coordination, agility etc.

I have trained Martial Arts for nearly 30 years, and Geordie by far is the best I’ve ever trained under. Amazing coach, so helpful and wants to see his students excel and improve.

A good instructor goes a long way and that is what you get at Black Dragon Kai. Geordie and Jess not only have a lot of knowledge in martial arts they know how to teach everyone from children to professional fighters.
They have fostered a great culture. If you want to compete in combat sports or learn self defence this is the place to do it.

I have been training in Martial Arts for the whole of my adult life. I cannot recommend training with BDK more. The whole instructor team and professional and knowledgeable beyond their time.
The atmosphere is family friendly, yet produces some of the best combat sports athletes around.
If you have issues with discipline or confidence, lack of focus or fitness. You need to look no further.
There is a reason that they have been around so long and the results speak for themselves.

Black Dragon Kai is one of the best gyms in Australia for martial arts. All trainers have years of martial arts training and MMA, Muay Thai fight experience. Very family friendly if you want to learn self defence and if you’re interested becoming a fighter you will get the best training.

Very friendly, professional instructors who create a friendly family environment. Look around the club and you will see all the belts and trophies earned by members of the club. Highly recommend no matter your goals.

It's a shame you can only give 5 stars! this gym produces state, Australian, south pacific and world champions in many different styles. Best gym and trainers you'll find, so much experience under one roof!

I remember goin there when l was around 7 and I stayed trainin there dor around 4 years and l loved it there. I remember losin some teeth there but that's the name of the game. The coaches there at the time were so supportive and carin. I do remember Kara, sorry if l spelt your name wrong but she was cool like 5 stars for her and even for all the coaches there. Idk if they still do the holiday ninja style camps but they were awesome and just so fun. The lessons you learn there and the self defence is just outstandin. But what you should always remember is to never use it to hurt someone on purpose unless it's self defence. I really do miss this place. I come down with my parents to see my Nan that ligit lives next to the place. It brings back so many good memories includin the missin teeth lol. I truly recommend takin your kids here, for the parents l also recommend you watch the trainin sessions the kids get too because it's good to learn what they do too because mine did too and they somewhat remember some of the moves.

I now proceed a Military career as an Army Cadet Corporal then after l turn 18 lm joinin the Royal Combat engineers then after 10 years of that l will and want to go special forces. 🤙👍
