Been here couple of times for walks and hikes. This is one of the more accessible walks with long boardwalks all the way down to the beach. Went today during Easter Sunday and it was jam packed with people, would suggest visiting during normal days and not a public holiday. Some had to park a km away due to limited parking.

Great place for a half day trip. The scenery is beautiful - seas, cape, light house, trail. The walk may not be very convenient for parents with stroller. It was a great exercise nonetheless trying to maneuver the stroller theough the trail..

Incredible scenic views of the Cape Schanck Lighthouse, coastal foreshore, sea cliffs and rocks down below. It's a gradual descent down several timber steps and boardwalks that lead to Pebble Beach and Pulpit Rock. There are also several Lookout points along the sandy foreshore tracks that connect in a circuit from the carpark. Overall, a great experience.

Cape Schanck lighthouse is the second oldest lighthouse in Victoria and was built in 1859. It was great to do a tour of the lighthouse and get a glimpse into this historic lighthouse which is still functioning to this day. Tour guide was knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the lighthouse from its early days till now. Definitely worth a visit if you are around Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas.

One of the highlight in the area.
Free access and free public parking.
Can be very crowded during public holiday so may take awhile to find a slot.
Got public toilet and some small cafeteria along the area.
Nice easy 15-20 mins walk for the circuit track which takes you out to the beach and rocky area. Nice to chill out or have a picnic. Many people do fishing here too.
Can be very cold and windy so better check the weather first. If high tide, dont risk it to go all the way out near the cliff.

Of course a beautiful location. Wild sea, rocks and cliffs. I didn't go for the guided tour of the lighthouse. (not keen on heights) You need to check at the kiosk when the tour next goes. Knowledgeable staff doing the tours. Small kiosk in the museum next to the lighthouse.

The lighthouse and coastal surrounds are beautiful with many walks available and access to beaches. This is where the famous ‘Two Bays 56k Ultramarathon’ starts and finishes. If you are lucky you may get to see some local wildlife. I was lucky to get up close and personal to the cutest echidna❣ Be aware of 🐍- saw one of those too and a big alpha make kangaroo.

Cape Schanck walk is an amazing coastal walk you can take after 1 1/2 hour drive from Melbourne. This place has a staircase which will lead to the beach. From their you can take either right turn walk or left turn walk. Left will take you to a walk that you can witness crabs and other little sea creatures hidden under the small rocks and right will lead you to the rough cliffs and stony walk (little bit hard walk) that you will witness the amazing sea view. Walk on either way and you will witness different experince. Add this to your bucket list next time you visit the mornington peninsula

Best to get there by 8:30 am. By 9:00, the parking spots are full. Carry a bottle of water.

The walk down to the Pebble Beach is awesome. Semi-private natural, rock pools await you if you dare enough to explore around the cliff. Perfect for a hot summer's day.

Beautiful lighthouse and lookout. Many trails in the national park which would require much time to try but just visiting the lookout for a short while is worth the views.

This is an unmissable stunning place and a gem in the Mornington Peninsula. Make sure you walk to the lighthouse, behind the lighthouse (where there's a lookout), down the broadwalk and down to the beach. Allow yourself more than 2 hours and make sure you wear good walking shoes, as you'll be navigating some tricky terrain.

At the bottom of the broadwalk, if you turn right, find a rock to sit on and listen to the waves. Occasionally when a big wave rolls in, as it rolls out through the pebbles, it creates a unique noise, that sort of sounds like someone gargling. It is a weird, but relaxing experience.

I highly recommend anyone to visit here. Please keep in mind that the broadwalk is not suitable for those with accessibility challenges.

Lovely sunset views, best to pack a snack and carry drinking water. No eateries close to the viewpoint and tend to lose mobile network once you enter the parking lot.

Love the view and always keep going back..

The best viewing area offered of the lighthouse not far from the carpark. We watched the sun go down and the changing colors. I wish I had brought my camera, these were taken with my mobile.

The lighthouse's picturesque location atop rugged cliffs overlooking the Bass Strait offers stunning panoramic views. The historical significance of this structure is palpable, with its construction dating back to 1859. The lighthouse's classic white and red color scheme is an iconic sight against the backdrop of the deep blue ocean.
