Mondo on the Waterfront

My partner and I just had our dinner there an hour ago.We both loved the food.The location is really nice on the waterfront.The restaurant itself is beautiful.

Best waterfront tables in Cairns! The tables are literally at the waters' edge. The Asian menu was very reasonable, and the food was well plated, if large portions and very tasty. Front of house were courteous and friendly.

Me and my GF thought we would try here for lunch. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We had the lunch special for $18 which included an entree which was fabulous and not piled high, as well as a glass of wine. We had a Mondo cocktail as well. Definitely going to come back 😁

Super relaxing to enjoy a bite to eat in a casual waterfront atmosphere. Great location to avoid the hustle and bustle of the nearby waterfront restaurants. Great menu to chose from to and prompt service.

I really enjoyed my meal of barramundi on a bed of potatoes and side salad...crispy eggplant and Korean fried chicken had the same sauce all over them ; a bit disappointed because we ordered both to share...
Was extremely windy so everyone sat inside, we were lucky to get a table ; so reservations are recommended!
Altogether a great experience, would go again...

Great atmosphere sitting near the water. More lighting would be good so you can see the menu. Service was a bit hit & miss. Enjoyed our meals with family. We had the Nasi Goreng it was tasty. Good sized meals 🦋

Loved Mondo's.
On our recent trip to Cairns it rained 5 out of the 7 nights , so walking down to Mondo's was convenient as we stayed in the Hilton.
We ate there 3 times
One night we shared a Pizza , the other nights we shared Asian dishes . All were very tasty.
Staff were all very friendly and welcoming

I was with a group of women of about 30 arranged by ECHO and Better Together from the Atherton Tablelands. Tables were booked and lunches pre-paid. The meals were excellent. The service was very good too. I can recommend Mondo any time.

Lovely staff here at the Mondo. I came for a glass of wine before a booking elsewhere and the staff were very welcoming. I was even lucky enough to be offered a free glass of wine after a mistake at the bar. I’ll be back for a full meal as soon as I can! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Delicious food, good service, cheap price at lunch, will definitely come back again

We had a perfect meal with first class service. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and we were tucked away out of sight by choice, and the waitress told us to wave if we felt forgotten. We never needed to wave. We will be back. Great spot to people watch while watching the boats go past till sunset. Probably bought more drinks than usual because the staff noticed empty glasses.

The seafood plate was very tasty especially the fish. The fried rice was quite good.

Excellently presented food. Great choice of drinks. Good service taking into account the difficulties faced by the hospitality industry at present. Thanks to all for giving us a perfect evening by the waterside. We'll be back to try the beef rendang.
