La Bonne Bakery

This small bakery on Wycombe Road, Neutral Bay serves up some of the best freshly baked bread and pastries in Sydney. The baguettes and pretzels in particular are second to none.

The pretzels are amazing! You can taste the butter in the custard tarts, perfectly flaky. The bread was so soft but crisp on the outside, and great coffee. My new favourite.

The pastries here are YUM! The Pain Au Chocolat is delicious. The flakes are simply divine and so eggy. Wish I bought more! I'll be heading back soon

Can't name a favourite, I keep discovering new textures and flavours every week.
Croissant dough is well executed and in my personal opinion, one of the best in Sydney. Taken to another level on treats like apple custard. Recently added waffles (plain, chocolate, berries) to die for.
Sam and Kate provide a pleasant and perfectly looked after experience when you visit them.
Currently my go to place for bread, pastry and coffee - large mocca, of course!

Got the almond chocolate croissant, light and crispy with nice layer of lightly roasted almond on top.
Also got the olive ciabatta. Toasted with margarine, nice a crispy. The bread is airy and the olives give a refreshing bites

Small bakery/cafe. Great selection of in house made bread. Friendly staff and coffee was good . My sandwich was delicious.

They make THE BEST pretzels, pastries and sourdough in Australia!! Their coffee is just as good too! This place is a hidden gem ❤

Probably the best pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) I’ve ever had in my life and I have had many, including in France. Worth making a special trip to this bakery just to try it. Delicious melty chocolate, light flaky pastry, not too sweet, simply amazing. Mine was still warm out of the oven. I’ll be coming back!!

Great sourdough baguette, so yum! Pretzel was good - would be nice to see a wider selection on a weekend

I visited here and tried a cranberry and walnut sourdough roll. It was soo delicious! Lovely and soft on the inside, yet crispy on the outside. Just how it's supposed to be! Generous and perfect ratio of filling to bread. Lovely staff too. If you're looking for an artisan bread and a taste of Paris, the look no further than La Bonne :)

Best croissants in Sydney! It takes me to a Parisian Boulangerie every morning. I’ve tried the different croissants, waffles, pastries, pretzel and ciabatta - all perfections. Absolute flavour explosion! plus super friendly family run business.

I had a beautiful quiche from Sam, Sam is a computer expert but changed his career so he could follow his joy.
This food is made from the heart and it's not for the profits. I'm from England and my pastry standards are very high. Often, Im sad with the Australian pastry standards. Sam has the best pastry Ive had in 6 years living in Australia. His food is in its own league. Thank you La Bonne

I’ve just eaten the nicest crossiant I’ve had for ages! Even better than some in France! Not too big, crisp top and fluffy inside.

Also tried a little black olive roll. The bread was soft and olives tasty which makes a difference from the plastic textured ones I’ve eaten before.

Glad mum lives near by so will be frequenting often.

Best bakery in town. The sourdough is just delectable. Not to mention the pain au chocolat, which is heavenly 😊

Every single thing here is exceptional, you really can’t go wrong. The pastries, snails, pretzels, almond croissants, baguettes, olive rolls, sourdough, ciabatta, you can see and taste the care and skill that goes into every item! I come almost everyday and if you live in the area and haven’t visited it’s a must.

Absolutely outstanding fresh bread and pastries. The ciabatta is my favourite. The pastries are light and often have fresh cream instead of sugary fillings. Service is lovely and friendly. All the sandwich rolls are fresh and tasty. My only gripe is they sell out too soon!

Best Almond croissant in Sydney. Baked in small batches, hand glazed. Suck time. and effort put into each piece. My guilty pleasure. Great coffee also served with a smile.

The Best

The Croissant's are absolutely beautiful, by far the best in the neighbourhood. We had to go back and get another! The staff are lovely and gave us a Pecan Tart to try, it was perfect. The bread looked beautiful we will try that next time. Great addition to our little community
