Ruby Rose Bed and Breakfast

We called this place for a night stay as our friend met with an accident near Simpson and Colac and has to find a place to stay. Very kind and supportive people when we called for a stay at 7.30pm. Genuinely supported to accommodate and offered to pick up our friends from the place where our friends were.

Such an amazing place, such an amazing hospitality... Both of them are amazing people, taking care of everything. They try to give you the best and make ypu feel like home.
The room is hige and calm, beautiful views. Evwrything clean and nothing bad to say!

Un sitio perfecto para alojarse. Los anfitriones son espectaculares y te prestan atencion para que estes a gusto pero sin molestarte y dar el espacio necesario.
Las habitaciones son grandes y limpias.
Todo lo que necesitas y el lugar donde está la casa es magico.

We only stayed one night but were so happy we stayed at Michelle and Ronnie's farm in December 2023. The location was away from the crazy and expensive Great Ocean Road during Christmas season, but close enough to get back on the route in the morning in about 20 minutes. The room is clean, modern, with simple amenities. Michelle and Ronnie were kind and welcoming, along with their dogs Ruby Rose and Frida; however, they were not intrusive. We had a wonderful sleep in the cosy bed, falling asleep to quiet and waking up to birds outside our window. Breakfast is simple (fresh bread, jam, fresh milk, cereal, coffee/tea, biscuits, fruit), but was perfect for us and unexpected for the price paid. We walked to the pub down the road for a drink - about 15 minutes. Highly recommended stay at this quaint bnb.

The rooms are very clean and comfy. In the evening you can see kangoroos, coalas and parrots on surrounding filds. You can eat a delicious breakfast while viewing beautiful scenery surrounding Ruby Rose. We will definitely come back to this magical place.

What a fantastic place! It was beyond our expectations. The room is big and really clean. You will have a nice view over the farm.

It's just a 15-20 min drive from the 12 apostles. The town even has a little pub with great food on a 10 minute walking distance from the B&B, if you don't get distracted by the groups of kangaroo's.

Ronnie and Michelle are both fantastic people. They are super friendly and provided a comfortable stay. They both love to tell you about the farm.

We highly recommend giving them a visit and having a night tour to look for kangaroos, wallabies and if you are lucky also Koala's!!! Oh and they have the most cute dogs. They are so friendly.

A lovely, rustic place to stay. The room is large and clean. All amenities. A warm, friendly couple run the place, which is on a working farm.
For me what earned the fifth star was that when we drove in on a cold winter night the smiling hostess was waiting outside and she had kept the heater on so that we entered a cosy room. That's real care!

Ronnie is fantastic with a big heart. He took us on a mini safari in his farm to see the kangaroos and koalas. Michelle also offered to prepare dinner for us, because it was late (9:00 PM) and the few restaurants were closed.

We Had an amazing stay!! It’s like waking up in a serene paradise. I’ve only got good words about this B&B. 100% would recommend to stay if you’re driving along the Great Ocean Road. Perfect location, peaceful and quiet, 15 mins away from the scenic spots (not far at all). Brilliant way to end the night after a long day of driving. Robbie and Michelle have been wonderful hosts, went above and beyond to make us feel at home.😊

Photos don’t do this place justice! Perfect stay if you want to be away from the touristy stays on the great ocean road. Such a stunning stay for our small family - extremely clean with all the basic snacks and breakfast basics. The grounds are beautiful and the lovely host even took our 2 year old up on the tractors and to see the cows and dogs which he loved. Very kind and accommodating hosts.

If you're looking for a real south australian hospitality, this is a right place to stay. Rose was an amazing host and loves to tell foreign guests about Australia. The apartment is small, but very fashionable decorated and completely equipped. Perfect for a 1-2 overnights close to the great ocean road. Sitting possibilities outside and a lovely look out into farm fields.

P.S. you should be aware of house pets (cats and a very friendly dog) in case of allergies.

We had peaceful stay at Ruby and Rose bnb. Hosts Michelle and Ronnie were very welcoming and friendly. Had fun exploring their farm and little drive to watch kangaroos. Their 🐕 Ruby is very friendly.

A lovely stay at Ruby Rose BnB with the Wagstaff family. The BnB unit is a separate unit from the main house with an attached washroom. Kind hosts who are warm and welcoming. The property is green, well tended to and extremely comfortable. They also give visitors tours of the farm and an opportunity to see animals around, which we missed as we were on a tight timeline. The breakfast was a good spread and all available in the room itself.

Nice place to stay hosts are very welcoming,15m to 12 apostles and all that area. Room is comfortable with heater tv and nice shower. Cereal and toast with tea n coffee supplied,would say will stay again if ever that area again.

Comfortable and spotlessly clean lodgings for a pleasant night or two stopover while travelling along the Great Ocean Road. It is about 30km north of Port Campbell for sightseeing of the 12 Apostles.

Lovely home away from home. You should definitely come here when you are in this area. Very clean, great hosts, nice breakfast and beautiful surroundings

Ronnie and Michelle are lovely ppl. Salt of the earth folk, gracious and accommodating. Ambience of the place is quiet with a capital Q. Serene, green surrounds, rustic 360 degree views and neat, clean rooms. Recommended.

Hosts Michelle and Ronnie were very welcoming and friendly. Peaceful and hassle free stay. Very clean. Recommend to anyone.

Bit late posting but stayed with these lovely people in Feb '22. Real people, salt of the earth, in tranquil surroundings. Try The Ball and Chain pub for dinner.
