Our Medical Ashmore

We went to the practice today for the first time & found Dr Sandye was very good at helping us with our 3 yr old son who had been coughing & vomiting at night. We had previously gone on Good Friday to see another Doctor at a highly recommended practice & he gave us antibiotics for 10 days but after 2 nights he seemed to be getting worse. This Doctor today after quick examination & speaking with us about symptoms gave us script for spray & oral medication for 2 days only & already can see he has improvement breathing at night. Hopefully won’t be needing a Doctor anytime soon but if we do we will definitely see Doctor Sandye again.

Always had a very good experience here. Dr’s have been caring and informative. Dr Asif has always been very thorough and nice natured. As have the Dr’s my family have seen. The app is helpful. The clinic is convenient and open longs hours.

Dr. Sathananthan is honestly the most wonderful doctor. She's not only knowledgable, but she's kind, patient and really cares about people. I would highly recommend her

Great experience at this centre. The wait was bit long but no surprise as the centre is after hours AND bulk billed. Very clean and organised facility with good customer service by receptionists. Was actually quite surprised to see such low review ratings.
Definitely recommend.

I had this horrid skin cancer on my face and saw Dr Kamali, who was lovely and kind and removed the cancer completely! I now have no scarring or anything considering it was so big. Could not recommend him more for skin checks!!

Our Medical Ashmore is Located on the corner of Currumburra & Southport Nerang Roads, Opposite Ashmore City Shopping Centre.

Had a Severe Allergic Reaction, (can only suspect it was something in the meal I had at a Restaurant prior).

The Receptionist at Our Medical Ashmore was lovely and efficient.

The Doctor I saw was very professional and thorough.
Was prescribed medication that eased my symptoms Very Quickly.

They Bulk Bill and are Open 7 Days till 10pm

I have been experiencing back pain for over a month, likely due to my daily posture or possibly from straining myself at the gym, although I wasn't certain. Lucas diagnosed me based on the number of hours I work each week, the increased physical activity, and my workout posture. To my surprise, he identified that I had been performing the RDL exercise incorrectly. Additionally, I had been sitting for prolonged periods at work. He recommended starting with an electric machine and acupuncture, which provided immediate pain relief and left me feeling significantly better for the rest of the day. Lucas also suggested a set of exercises and stretches to follow, which made me feel much better in the days that followed.
During my second consultation, we did cupping on my lower back and I have been pain-free for over two weeks now. I am amazed at how just two sessions were able to alleviate my back pain, which had been bothering me for more than a month. Lucas is truly efficient, professional, and a lovely person. Thank you Lucas.

Great experience as a first timer. We barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The receptionist was on duty at Saturday night(05/08/2023)and Dr Lewis Lassig were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how they both really took their time nearly closing to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor’s demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.

Great experience - receptionists, doctor and nurses were super friendly and helpful when I needed urgent first aid for a dog bite on Saturday and subsequent dressing change on Monday morning. Yes you need to be prepared to wait and it’s dependent on how many other people need attention, but the service I got was fantastic. Thank you to the busy medical team!

She did an amazing job juggling the many people coming in on a busy Saturday morning.

The App failed and I was left to wait for an extended period of time but she went out of her way to help me once we realised there was an issue. I really appreciated her willingness to assist, and her friendly disposition.

I was shocked to see this medical centre had such a low rating.
Most reviews have complained about being turned away an hour (and in one, review 15 minutes) before the centre closed- of course you’ve been turned away, there’s most likely an hour worth of people in line there before you and you wouldn’t have been able to see a doctor because of the wait time anyway.
Every time I have been here, the staff have been exceptionally friendly and understanding. I have never felt shrugged off or ignored. They all keep a level head even with the massive amount of people going through the clinic.
Yes, the wait time is very long, but 2-3 hours is worth a bulk billed walk in appointment, especially when they’re open so late at night. Bring some snacks and some emotional support and you’ll do fine.

It's true that you may have to wait up to a couple of hours, but this is a walk in clinic - as advertised. My family member needed to see a GP today and our regular GP wasn't available for a few days so we are grateful for this service. Some things just can't wait a few days. The GP was kind and didn't rush us at all. Also, the reception staff and nurses we observed whilst waiting were all very friendly and very patient. They informed the patients arriving of the expected delays and kindly told everyone where they were in the queue when asked and they were asked MANY times. I think it's unfair to give this clinic a negative review for waiting. We will use this clinic again when the need arises.

Not all Doctors are the same I saw Dr Kazom he seemed very professional .I have never complemented a doctor before. So this is a first.

Dr Lassig is a very professional and thorough doctor who has a great drive for patient care. Can't recommend enough. Not to mention clean convenient practice. Sometimes a little wait, sometimes not. "Walk in" system doesn't always mean "walk in and be seen immediately". I've always been happy here with waiting times.

I needed a doctor asap and all the walk in doctors I used to see had since closed down. I settled in for a long wait but 25 minutes later I was being called by a doctor. He was so great and professional. I ended up needing a minor treatment which he was able to administer during the appointment and his sense of humour kept me at ease. Less that 20 minutes later I was walking out with all my questions and concerns answered. The receptionist was also so helpful. He was patient and kind. Next time I need to see a GP unexpectedly I will be coming here.

I have been here a few times and seen multiple doctors. The consultations are always so quick and easy because the doctors listen and understand. Short wait times when I’ve been there. The best experience was when I had tonsillitis and needed medication, the doctor did not treat me like a disease.

Amazing service, the receptionist Lisa that was on this morning was more than helpful and assisted me with the app and explained it all to me! Long wait but worth it when you had friendly staff, doctors are fantastic. I will be back for sure!!

Bulk billing walk in only - great to be able to rely on this service when you can’t get in elsewhere. Wait times vary but that’s expected with a walk in emergency clinic. Receptionists and Drs are doing their best.
