Dr Rhau is an amazing surgeon. He is very polite and caring he listened to my concerns and he explained to me what he will be doing in surgery which put my mind at ease. His staff are so lovely too.

Been 12 months since my operation and my shoulder is fantastic. I’m able to do all the things I did prior to my injury. Thank you again Dr Rhau for all that you have done.

Dr Rhau is an amazing surgeon and wonderful human being. He is polite, professional, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Dr Rhau gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision regarding my surgery, then performed that surgery with the utmost care. His skills and bedside manner are second to none.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Dr Rhau is very experienced and was able to fix a complex injury and get a good outcome. Post surgery, he co-ordinates closely with the physio (Physio Dynamics) to make sure the rehab process proceeds with maximum benefit.

Joerg has helped me with several trigger finger release operations and I am extremely happy with the results. Besides being a very accomplished surgeon he is also a very nice person. I also like to mention Hannah and Jodie at the office, as well as the new lady who's name unfortunately escaped me. At all points of contact for the procedure at the Greenslopes Private Hospital; Dr's, nurses, catering and reception, I felt the most genuine care and attention at all stages. Nothing was a problem to provide for me as I was a solo, remote patient without present family or friend support. Each staff member truly was helpful in an above and beyond way. Although they remained busy, their attention details and to care for myself as an individual patient was simply nourishing. I felt the Hospital was well staffed and the extras were noticed that I guess are the difference in a Private Hospital experience. Money well spent and surgery to date is a success. Thank you.

I recently required the needs of a Orthopaedic Surgeon for a recent work injury on my wrist and having had the experience of Dr Rhau preforming a Total Shoulder Replacement on my left shoulder in late 2021 I had no hesitation in asking my GP to refer me back to him. I have always found him to be a kind and understanding Surgeon who takes the time to listen and explain everything to me.
Jodi and Hannah on the front desk are very helpful, excellent and efficient as well making the whole process easy.

During my consultation with Dr Rhau I felt that he was very approachable and listened. He was able to diagnose and formulate a plan of treatment for my ongoing and all encompassing osteoarthritis issue with great confidence. I am hopeful of a quick recovery and return to full function.

Excellent from first contact to post surgery.
The reception is excellent and efficient. I was seen as soon as possible and the administration was seemless.
Dr Rhau advised me of my options for dealing with my fractured scaphoid (R) in a clear manner. I elected surgery and was scheduled for the next afternoon. I then saw the associated therapist who fitted me with a top quality brace to replace my temporary splint and scheduled my post op care.
Surgery day was excellent from the nurses in pre op to post op and recovery.
Dr. Rhau has an excellent manner with patients and I always knew what was happening. The anaesthetist was excellent and was very informative in his pre op examination. My recovery from anaesthesia was the best I can recall. I woke up feeling great and ready to go ! No hangover at all. I was given a folder all my post op information and next appointment date etc
as well as all the necessary medication for ongoing pain relief

I experienced a workplace injury and had a considerably difficult time dealing with Comcare; under Dr Rhau’s care, he was able to identify the injury immediately, advocate on my behalf and facilitate the surgical treatment that was required. Dr Rhau is a highly experienced and knowledgeable upper limb specialist who could answer all of my questions regarding the surgery and the necessary post-surgical rehab with a hand therapist. What made Dr Rhau’s Greenslopes clinic stand out was the accessibility to the onsite multidisciplinary team with Ecko Hand Therapy and Physiodynamics working in conjunction. I cannot emphasis enough just how helpful this was; all of my follow up hand therapy appointments could be made easily. It also meant that Dr Rhau was available to discuss ongoing treatment or concerns if needed. I was able to achieve a positive outcome during my treatment and get back to my pre-injury functionality.

I also want to give a big shout-out to Hannah and Jodi, who run the clinic. I have spent a fair amount of time attending appointments, and hands down, these women are amazing. I admire all the hard work that they do as they coordinate everyone across the multidisciplinary team. They are always courteous and professional, and you are always guaranteed a warm welcome on arrival.

Dr Rhau was a very personable, welcoming gentleman who immediately made me very welcome and comfortable. He was informative, concise and ensured I was well informed enough to make a decision regarding suggested surgery. I feel I have total confidence in his abilities. A very satisfying experience. Great experience once again. Dr Rau is always so knowledgeable, kind and gentle. The two ladies on the reception desk were very welcoming, relaxed and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone took the time I and each patient I observed needed to organise their admission details following consultation.
Very clean comfortable waiting area and the fridge with water bottles is a great addition to comfort while waiting.

The experience with Dr Rhau and his team was absolutely fantastic. It was unexpected that I needed surgery but Joerg made sure I had the necessary surgery days later. The ladies on reception assisted with the mine field that is private health and there was no question that they did not know even assisting with the paperwork. I totally trust and respect the whole team and would not hesitate in recommending them to anybody.

Now at 12 months post shoulder surgery I am playing golf 3-4 times a week, swimming and gym regularly. I would like to thank and recommend Dr Rhau and his team including Sam Dunn (Lively Physiotherapy).

We discussed my options in relation to my left elbow injury and have put a plan in place.

Dr Rhau is the BEST!! After hurting my wrist and seeing a specialist for 8 months with no answers, Dr rhau was able to diagnose it in less than 30 minutes. He is friendly, professional, kind, caring and exceptional at his job. The scar that is left is clean, straight and hardly noticeable. His staff at the Greenslopes hospital and the clinic are amazing; always friendly, kind and on top of anything you need. I really cannot recommend him enough.
