Schnitz Cairns

WHO does better schnitzels in Cairns than Schnitz - No one! A great selection of food and drinks and their open from 11.00am to 8.30pm 7 days a week. Food was tasty, juicy, and delicious and generous in size and very reasonably priced. The chicken schnitzel and chips and salad were fresh and crispy and served quickly. Staff were friendly and professional too, restaurant was very clean and the outdoor wooden tables and chairs just add to the overall Cairns vibe - laid back 🤟 And don't forget they deliver and do takeaway! Very Highly recommended 👏👍😊

Had a bite to eat at the Schmitz Caribs for lunch.
A great experience the staff were lovely especially Frank had a chat about the weather and the recent cyclone that had come through Carins not to long ago.

Hands down the BEST CHIPS IN TOWN!!! We ate dinner at Schnitz twice during our recent Cairns trip and both times were fantastic. The location is amazing - right near the Esplanade where you can find all the action on a Friday/ Saturday night. The food and service were also great. Our meals came out quickly and were cooked to perfection. They have great meal and snack options to suit everyone at reasonable prices. I had a snack wrap and small chips while my family had the burger + chips and schnitzel + chips (both of which were massive considering the cost). Will definitely be back as we cannot get enough of the Schnitz chips! SIMPLY THE BEST :)

I ate at Schnitz the other night and was very happy with both the food quality, portion sizes and customer service.
From the looks of previous reviews the new management has done great things in turning this place around.

SHNITZ is centrally located right on esplanade , easy access to walk & park car ..

Dad was in town recently so we headed to the Eaplanade to find somewhere for dinner for 8. We were very lucky to find a big table out front of Schnitz so we grabbed it. Food was great, had a great night and will be back!

We had delivery tonight and again everyone was happy, great food crisp and fresh, I do recommend the OMG chicken schnitzel burger with American loaded fries (OMG yum by the way) took 3 goes to eat it all, sorry no pix everyone was too hungry for all that, but the food actually looked like the pictures full of flavour we will be back, we have dined in the location is perfect with a great chilled street eat vibe I do recommend they have a great menu something for everyone

UPDATE: new management now and schnitzels are decent size again. Have ordered a few times recently and size of the meal and quality of the product has been great. Back in my favourite list.

Original review: Food is usually great but staff seem to be poorly trained. I have ordered from schnitz regularly over the past 4 years and in the last 12 months the quality of the food and accuracy of orders has been terrible. I have had maybe 1 or 2 orders in the last 6 months that were accurate when delivered (missing chips or gravy) and the schnitzels are often burnt or small and thin. It feels like staff are disposing of poorly cooked food by sending it to home deliveries. The schnitzels were previously thick and well cooked but lately the quality has deteriorated. I have called and spoken to management and they seem genuinely concerned but mistakes keep happening. Will not be ordering from schnitz anymore unless they can get they're act together.

Really tasty burger and fries. I got the a chicken schnitzel which was just like Nonna makes at home, and we were happy for my partner to have a non meat option which was also really good! I love the concept of the steps on how you would like your schnitzel giving the customers more options. Would diffidently come back!

Had a great feed a week ago…. Chicken schnitz have always been my thing and this one didn’t disappoint!!!! I’m back in Cairns in two weeks and will definitely be heading back!!! 🐔

Absolutely lovely staff at Schnitz (Elliot Hannah and Bella I think!!) who accommodated 17 of us! Service was fast and food was delicious! Can’t wait to come back next. Great for big groups

Tasty fast food, something a bit different to your typical burger joint.

Service was great. A small mistake was made with my order. The person responsible came out to apologise, then remade our order + added some chips. Really appreciated their customer service.

Kids sliders and chips was perfect lunch size for a hungry 9 year old. They had smaller kids meals for those younger - such a great idea.

Really lovely atmosphere, got a booth seat easily on a packed Sunday night in Cairns. The customer service provided by the lady, Mollie at the register was absolutely superb. She greeted us with a beautiful friendly smile & even with our dietary requirements accommodated everything. A real credit to your company. Thank you 😊

Excellent service from Mollie made the begining of a yummy meal. Most delicious Snitzel ate it all up delicious gravy too. The burger was perfect also delivered to table in good time. Will be back soon.
