Dr Gindi Magdi

I have been going to Dr Magdi for years, always get the care I need without issue. Ladies out front so helpful and pleasant.

His an excellent doctor, i tried few clinics in the area but i had a really good experience with Dr Gindi,he looks into details and always provides you with the right treatment. Him and his team is always welcoming. I would highly recommend him if you looking for a good family gp.

My father was incredibly sick suddenly and had to be rushed to hospital where he spent 7 days under the microscope of a wonderful cardiac surgeon, Dr Vo. Dr Vo had my dad gradually adding new medication so my dads body would gently and safely get used to it. By the end of the week, my father was good to go home. The combination of medication including important new medication that kept my father alive.

Dr Vo (the cardiac surgeon) told dad to have a follow up appointment with his GP (DR GINDI) a week later and another appointment with Dr Vo in about 2 months.

Dad saw Dr Gindi a week later and DR GINDI TOOK DAD OFF THE NEW IMPORTANT MEDICATION THAT THE CARDIAC SURGEON PUT DAD ON TO KEEP HIM ALIVE. No idea why Gindi did that. Dad started to feel unwell again.

When I found out, I took dad to another GP and he was mortified and shocked that Dr Gindi thought he knew better than a well respected cardiac surgeon, over riding his life saving prescriptions and throwing them away.

Dad's new GP safely increased dad's medication over a few days to what Dr Vo the cardiac surgeon prescribed and my dad is feeling much better and improving again.

STAY AWAY FROM DR GINDI

I told the doctor a number of concerns I had and told him what meds I require. Wrote me out scripts rushed me through the appointment and dismissed my other concerns. Told me he'd make a referral yet no referral was made. The state of Australia's health care system in concerning due to these types of people. As an Australian citizen and a tax payer I have a right to expect free exceptional health care as does everyone else in this country. Its not my fault that the government is ripping off/short changing GP's. I refuse to pay for others incompetance.

I was sent home from work to go see a GP after getting bleach in my eye at work, I made an emergency appointment for 12 with Dr Gindi.
Arrived at 12 to be turned away because my Medicare card was out of date in their system which I did not have on me due to coming straight from work, my husband had the card and was in a meeting and not aware of what was going on.

This practise would not look at me and told me to leave and make a booking for the following day when card details were present.

Every other family member who shares the same card were up to date in their system and only updated as recent as 3 weeks ago, just not mine.

My husband was then told by me what had happened and how I was refused treatment.

He called reception (Sammi), my husband explained to Sammi that not only 3 weeks ago we had the same problem with the card and expiry, we were asked to call and update details as soon as we got home AFTER BEING TREATED BY THE DOCTOR. To then be told by Sammi then be told if you don’t like our service go somewhere else. So that’s what I’ll do… 4 year family doctor.

Dr Gindi is a great doctor, just a pity the staff he’s got running the front end.

I made an appoinment to have some paper-work filled out for Centrelink over 10 days ago. Signed all the forms to have the information sent from my GP in WA and Dr. Magdi said it was no problem, they just had to wait for the information from the other GP.
Over ten days later, I had to follow up to get the info sent from the WA GP myself, and North Perth GP said that they already sent it on the 19th. The staff on the phones had no idea what was going on, no follow up from Dr. Magdi or his staff, and no communication as to why the forms never got filled out. Nor did they ever bother to call myself or anyone else to sort things out, even though I had given him the details of all of my treating doctors.
Called again today, and the staff say he can't fill the forms out because there's not enough information. When I became frustrated on the phone because of their lack of professionalism they said, "Not our problem". I've never been to a more unprofessional, rude, and terriblty staffed GP in my life.
Not even worth it for the bulk billing. Don't bother.
I'd give them 0 stars if I could.
P.S. - Just talked to Dr. Magdi and asked why he didn't contact my treating doctors to get the relevant information to fill out the forms. He said he wasn't getting paid enough for his time to contact them and that it was "Not his problem." Good job, "Doctor".
