Went here for the first time on Tuesday to see Zombie the musical, and WOW, WHAT A SHOW, the theatre is small so not a bad seat in the house, definitely recommend this theatre! Also the show was incredible, easily in my top favourite musicals EVER, PLEASE RUN ZOMBIE AGAIN SOME TIME!!!

Saw Carlotta's one woman show last night and was sensational! 80 years of age and she knows how to put on a show and work the audience.

The theatre is perfect. Intimate with each seat having a great view of the stage. The stairs are a bit steep so be careful going down.

Staff are amazing, friendly and greet you with a smile.

Highly recommend Hayes.

I watched Zombies! The Musical and it was amazing. I also absolutely fell in love with the theatre. The chairs are so comfy and the show felt so intimate because of the size of it all but it never felt cramped. I love how the stage is on the same level as the floor. The staff were absolutely lovely as well. 10/10. Will definitely go back for another show in the future

HAYES THEATRE is a wonderfully friendly venue in Kings Cross! It presents highly skilled performers and musicians in shows which delight the audiences of the future as much as us faithful old timers.
And, to my immense joy, HAYES pays regular tribute to the late Stephen Sondheim… with love and great success!

I attended the Hayes Theatre last Sunday with my 97 y.o. mother. The staff were so kind and helpful, allowing her to enter via the Stage Door and attending to her mobility issues. She adored the show, HELLO GIRLS, as did I. It was my mother's first time at the Hayes Theatre and she loved it. I have seen a number of productions here, all great, but what makes the theatre special is the lovely staff, who make patrons feel so welcome. HELLO GIRLS is an important story, told with a great cast who gave it their all. Congratulations to all!

Hello Girls was an unexpectedly marvelous show. Hayes always delivers a great show but this was a musical with gorgeous harmonies, great staging and an amazing story. Roll on many more shows like this

Always love this theatre, they do great shows, not a bad seat in the house, and usually enjoyable themed cocktails.

Small live theatre in the heart of cosmopolitan Potts Point. Seats about 120 only, but the views of the stage are great. A bar is available for pre show drinks, and at interval, and a wide balcony overlooking Greenknowe Ave. Very pleasant indeed. Easy access via train to Kings Cross and a 8min stroll, or catch the 310 bus from Wynyard to Greenknowe Ave. This particular night, we had the pleasure to see Dale Burridge's At The Crossroads, a very entertaining bio of his career through music.

I've now seen three shows here and they've all been excellent! Tonight I've definitely got the "I laughed too much" aching cheeks and abs lol. The wheelchair access is good, and the accessible bathroom is fab. There's a small platform lift at the entrance, then it's all level. In the theatre itself there is access to the front row, and you can transfer to the seats, or park in front of them as I do. The staff are very helpful.

Another wonderful show at the Hayes Theatre. Thank you for staging a great production of Sondheim's A Little Night Music - I've wanted to see it for some time.

We are so lucky to have this fantastic little theatre within walking distance of our home. We have booked seven shows for 2024, can’t wait to see them.

The View Upstairs is not to be missed. Great theatre space now under the stewardship of David and Lisa Campbell presenting musical productions and showcasing Australia’s best and brightest musicians, singers, directors, set designers, lighting experts. An intimate space seating 100 so a great up and close experience for everyone.

Enjoyed watching 'Murder for Two' in this small intimate theatre in Potts Point. Always has great shows. Small bar and terrace for street watching. Location is good for a choice of dining options after the show. Easy walk to Kings Cross Station or parking near the police station.

This little venue punches well above its weight and manages a rare trick for Sydney - its foyer enables the audience to keep the fun going after the show.

Intimate theatre offers better views and interaction with performers

We caught Cry-Baby at Hayes Theatre. The show was great. The cosy theatre contributed to that as it offers good views even from the seats at the back. The size also meant that shows are more likely to be designed such that performers interact with the audience.

There’s a Bar offering drinks and snacks. A laid-back venue but a great experience!

Like Musical Theatre? You must make Hayes your go-to!
Hayes are renowned for staging completely new takes of musicals you know, and for also bringing (brilliant) new works to the stage. Their productions are also consistently of the highest calibre.
One of the joys of Hayes is seeing how they transform the intimate stage space for every show.
So much creativity abounds.
