House Call Doctor - Home Doctor Townsville

Have used this service several times and have always been very happy with the doctors who has either visited us in person or consukted over the phone. Had a telehealth appointment tonight for my daughter and the doctor was so friendly and had some tips and tricks to alleviate her symptoms (aside from the normal nurofen, panadol, rest, fluids etc) i'd never heard before - that have worked quite quickly. If I could remember the doctor's name, I'd give him a shout out.

I was reluctant to use this service due to the reviews. However I had severe neck pain, was unable to move at all and had no other option. The doctor arrived quickly and the procedure was easy. I was given a prescription and I’m feeling a lot better than I was thank goodness. I’m glad I gave the service a try and will definitely use again

Last night I called House Call Doctor in Townsville with severe nausea, not being able to hold anything down. Dr .Patel, a lovely young lady Doctor, and Doctor Anil, a young gentleman who dropped by later to give me a wafer to stop the vomiting after Chemist would not prescribe, went above and beyond to help me on what no doubt was a busy Saturday night. Could not recommend this service more highly. I rang for my unwell daughter and they were here within 10 minutes. Dr Jessica Armstrong was fantastic and could not have done anymore if she tried. I sincerely appreciate having such a service available to us.

Did not have to wait to long, around 40mins. Pleasant doctor and informative and realised the urgency of the issue. No out of pocket expense. Saved me a.trip to the hospital.

Have had previous alright experiences but tonight is disgusting. My partner had a gash on his chin that was not worthy of a hospital visit but we asked if they could come treat in case it needed stitches. They said yes and said won’t be long. Two hours later we’re waiting whilst hes bleeding and we get a call saying they can’t make it because they’ve only got one doctor on. Being told there might not be a chance of a visit in the first place would’ve been nice.

Mostly EXCELLENT SERVICE ok, some not fabulous but they COME TO YOUR HOME, AFTER HOURS! !
PLEASE USE THEM RATHER THAN CLOGGING UP HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS WITH YOUR SCRAPPED KNEE AND SNOTTY NOSES!
My father used to do this for his patients plus his practice and speciality. It killed him so separate sservices are a better outcome for patients and doctors

The waiting time is crazy ! Was waiting for 2 hours.

Absolutely pathetic. I’m only giving a single star because it’s required to leave a review. Booked last night and it was cancelled, booked again tonight and nothing. Before the pandemic you’d get a prompt response, an excellent doctor who was wonderful to deal with. Now, it’s pointless trying to make an appointment because they either reject it or don’t bother to show up. This service was designed to take pressure off emergency departments but it seems that their ignoring of patients is now going to clog up hospitals with mild illnesses that could easily be dealt with by a gp.
