Riverview Tavern

Went for lunch with two friends. Restaurant and Bars were very clean and tidy service to tableware quick polite and efficient. All meals were very well presented and tasty. A large crowd developed over the lunch period.

Food was amazing as well as the service. All the employees were respectful and kind. The service provided by Daley was impeccable and was a role model for all. The trivia night provided an enjoyable activity that involved everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Met up with some friends here who had ridden their bikes from Rowe's Bay. Nice meals at affordable prices. Nice views of the Ross River.

Rooms are dated, but comfortable. Hot water and pressure were amazing. Food downstairs was pretty good, a typical pub feed, not over priced, just good value and tasty. Location was awesome for what we needed

Great room! Very affordable accommodation. Clean and reasonably quiet. Meal was tasty but very small if you have travelled all day with seedy servo slop box.

A 15min walk from work to drop in for a slice of their hot apple crumble with a dob of cream n ice cream. Delicious. Happy smiling staff here to greet you.

I stayed in one of the Riverview Tavern rooms and had dinner there both nights of my stay. the room was clean and spacious, great value for the price. both of my meals there were also good value. My steak was cooked just right (medium rare), the meals were a good size and were served hot. All of the staff were friendly and all interactions were completed efficiently. thanks Riverview, see you next time.

We had lunch with friends from out of town. The food was great and a generous serving size, everyone enjoyed their meals. My husband said it was the best steak he has had out in a long time. Our friends commented how lovely and cool it was sitting on the deck overlooking the river, as they had been feeling the humidity, but were very comfortable with the breeze and large fan above.
We will be back.

My husband has been in Townsville University Hospital for 6 weeks after becoming unwell on our caravanning holiday. I have come to look upon the Riverview Tavern as my lovely oasis amid the stress and worry. I have used the courtesy bus to escape the hospital for a while to enjoy a delicious, well priced meal and the friendly service here. Sitting on the deck watching the fantastic water views, I felt like I was still on holidays... Just for a while. Thanks to this amazing place for restoring my sanity. BTW. I celebrated my 70th birthday here last week.

Currently undergoing renovations, but customer service and food quality is still spot on. View from the deck at sunset is amazing.

Went for Fathers Day Lunch and found the service excellent. We had to wait a little for the meal, it was extremely busy, but worth the wait as the food was excellent. Big shout out to Jasmine in the bar for organising a table at the last minute and the friendly smile.

I really like Riverview Tavern for lunch (only times I have been lately) the service is excellent and the food is huge so bring your appetite.
Good views over the weir and walking path which is great if you are a dog lover.
Recommend the Riverview Burger.

We popped in for a drink and bite to eat after a big walk along the river. The food was delish! The service, prompt, efficient and super helpful. We will be back next time we're in Townsville area.

Great staff, food, drinks and service. The location is superb.

For years I lived down the road from the Riverview Tavern, so I've got an attachment to the place. Food has always been decent and at a reasonable price. Ten bucks for a kilo of chicken wings is great value. Sitting out on the deck and having a beer while watching the river is very valming, it's a great spot.

Best food ever!! Yummmm! Beautiful views over river, great air flow on deck, friendly happy staff. Can't wait for our next visit! Yum.
