Took advantage of the Groupon offered here. Had the pork belly for entree, Black Angus for Mains as the passionfruit choc tower for dessert. Beautifully presented and great service. Be sure to check out the Whiskey Bar afterwards.

We went there on a living social voucher it was fantastic. The food excellent, service really good and the whole evening a great success. The decor is beautiful, I recommend this restaurant as a good place to celabrate a birthday or romantic dinner for two. Special touches too, I mentioned a birthday on the phone and they brought out a small cake with a candle. Wow and more wow.

Delectable food, immaculately presented in grand heritage surroundings. We had the Christmas Eve Dinner, with pork belly and prawns for entree, turkey and salmon for mains and pavlova for dessert. The Chain of Fire Shiraz Cabernet (Mudgee) and Stoneleigh Pinot Gris (NZ) were perfect accompaniments. A delightful experience, made complete with an after-dinner stroll down to the harbour and Opera House. No wonder so many families and couples filled the dining rooms. I think this might become an annual event!

Had a really great experience at this restaurant for a birthday dinner, with Sydney's iconic view of the Opera House at the backdrop and warm and romantic atmosphere. Excellent service and delicious food but portions a bit small sometimes. Great bathroom.

We had the cudo $99 3 course dinner for 2. Food was delicious and nicely presented. The sirloin and the rib eye were both cooked to medium rare perfectly. They could have been more generous with the sides by giving us a bigger slice of potato gratin and more than just 3 cherry tomatoes. Like maybe roasted vegetables? It was possible to order extra sides ( such as broccoli and sweet potato fries for $10 each) however that option wasn't made known to us and the normal menu wasn't provided. We subsequently ordered the extra fries to share (i found the menu online).

They forgot one of our drinks until we reminded them more than half way through our mains. Extra wine glasses weren't taken away until I moved them to the edge of the table for them, as they would be in the way when the mains get taken away. Table water was not topped up at all during the an hour and a half we were there.

Overall the food is excellent, the extra $8 for the rib eye was worth it, it melted in the mouth and tasted better than the sirloin in comparison (a little dry and some chewy bits).

The food was beyond delicious, however, I found the service unattentive and the waitstaff seemed to hesitate to serve us bread, in fact, it took until after the entree to receive some only after asking.

High Tea here is very good. Service and decor are excellent as you would expect.

Went for family dinner & the overall experience was good.
Food - would recommend the Scallops & Rib eye steak. Was cooked perfectly. Staff members were all attentive & professional. The only downside is that the chair is quite uncomfortable for short people as it is too plush so you almost sink in it & the table becomes too high. Otherwise, all good.

When i booked here I was excited.. I wanted to go here for months and months ever since i walked past it one day

I was alittle let down
The place is nice, expensive, and ok meal. not much can be said about it to be honest didnt feel very fancy or even more so I didnt feel i was a guest to an expensive resturant

4 star ... why ? Ok
The entree felt alittle tiny but was amazingly cooked
My wagyu stake was perfectly blue
And the dessert was fantastic

But
Seating arangement of tables didnt feel very spacious .

Or more to the point i felt like the people next to me was eating at my table as the back of his chair was at my table

Good for a try .. tho would i go back? Maybe not

Why you ask.... for the price I would expect quiet with my dinners for conversations
not two tables right on top of each other so one person can get a window view

It just made the experience awkward.

Beautiful entree and dessert. Main was slightly disappointing. The passionfruit chocolate tower was 10 out of 10 for dark chocolate lovers.

My family and I took advantage of the Groupon offer like many others and although the experience was pleasant, I wouldn't rave about it. The starter, the pork belly, was lovely. It was tender with a nice crispy top, fantastic. We upgraded and got the wagyu for the main, which I had to unfortunately send back after cutting into it as it was overcooked. When it came back it was cooked as requested however the steak was still not what we would have expected for a wagyu with the tenderness and marbling. It was honestly a bit chewy and I had concerns they were just giving us other cuts of meat as my family also felt the same... Notwithstanding the wagyu expectation, the meat was still pleasant. Dessert was lovely too. Staff were ok, perfectly polite but didn't top up our water unless requested.
The steak was on our minds when we went to pay and just thought to give feedback to the waitress, however when we raised our concerns she merely stared at us blankly and nodded slightly. I don't think that message will be passed on and it leaves me with reservations for returning.

Visited the dining room as a drive-in guest, and had the seafood tower for two. Nice classic formal dining decor. Service and food quality not to the same standard. Good solid food, but closer to RSL grade than what I expect (and pay for) in fine dining. No tablecloths. Overcooked bland battered fish. Mass-produced frozen chips. Very good Pacific oysters. Parking discounted (for eating there) only $5 to $30 for 2hrs on a Saturday night. All up, a meal with components ranging between poor to very good, total value proposition is poor, particularly if you aren't staying there/ drive there.

Was given a gift voucher on Groupon, food was great, but service needs attention! Staff are not attentive and look like they don't know what they're doing. Great ambience.
