2. We went for lunch on Sunday. Awesome experience in terms of staff courtesy, lunch food quality and overall atmosphere. Very professional setting for casual talks. We loved it.

We had veg biryani. I must say that it was the best after very long time and I couldn’t get this quality in sydney.
Hats off to the owner for setting up this restaurant and managing well.
Wish them good luck for their hard work.

Kids friendly menu and taste suits kids also.

Customer service was friendly, prompt and top class.
Food was absolutely delicious. Well presented and well balanced.
Atmosphere was great and the whole place was very clean including the white cloth napkins.

Finding a good Indian restaurant where the food is fresh and well cooked can be a massive challenge. Even going to the supposedly best, five star places can bring on that familiar dismay. Not here. The food was great. I have no hesitation in recommending it. The layout and design is a bit 80's, for me, but who cares? We drove 40 minutes to get there and felt the trip was totally worth it.

My parents are locals and love Saphires and frequent this restaurant as they love it. When we travel from Sydney, we always come here for lunch. The restaurant is lovely, staff are extremely nice, the food is absolutely delicious and great value. Would highly recommend in Newcastle or coming to Newcastle. We had a lovely Mother’s Day here today.…PS can you open up a restaurant in Sydney’s eastern suburbs? ☺

Very good Indian, good service and well priced. Dishes look small but are quite deep and filling. Would recommend, worth the visit to Newcastle.

We ate here last night 18th December 2023. The level of service was out of this world, the cocktails were amazing and the food was 10/10.
I have been eating Indian food for around 40 years now and I would have to say Sapphire Indian Restaurant is one of the best I have eaten at. As I've worked in customer service all of my life I tend to notice if your greeted with a smile when you enter a place and the staff didn't disappoint. The owners were exceptionally friendly as all the staff were and it was such a beautiful dining experience. We couldn't eat all of our food so they were happy to give us containers to pack the leftovers.
Also I would like to add that throughout our 2 hour dining experience we were looked after very well even though there were other customers in the restaurant. It's only a 25 minute drive from where we live so we will definitely be back for more GREAT SERVICE

Sensational food & good service. We tried a variety of dishes with Naan & Safron rice. Each dish was superb & reasonable pricing.

This cozy restraunt has left the best impressions. Beautiful ambience and hospitable hosts. The vegetarian food was amazing though i would reckon to improve the flavours of vegetarian biryani. I would definitely come back to enjoy more varieties. Cheers

I had dine in and ordered lamb cutlet with mint chutney. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the mint chutney was perfectly balanced. The owner was so hospitable that he came to my table and asked about my dining experience. Definitely will dine in again. Best Indian restaurant in Newcastle

After traveling all day, i called and booked a table, I have tried many Indian restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne but non of them were as good as Sapphire, hats off to the Chef who cooked delicious meals, the service of the lady who served me was exceptional, she really know's what she is doing.i recommend them to open up a restaurant in Sydney as well. I would love to get meals everyday.
A Must try if you are in Newcastle.

The food was absolutely delicious, best Indian meal we’ve ever had. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and was really clean and tidy. Tables were wiped down really well when customers left and they were well spaced. The staff were lovely and we will definitely return.

Very delicious food from the starters (onion bhaji and tandoori paneer, which we forgot to take pictures of) to the mains (mango chicken and chicken saag with coconut rice and cheesy garlic naan). It was all very yummy and the best Indian food I've ever had. The lassi was really good too. The staff were so kind and checked up on us to make sure everything was going well. Highly recommend this place, its a bit of a hidden gem as its located in a residential area.

We have been to a few Indian restaurants in Newcastle but this one will be on the very top of our list!

They serve Indian/Pakistani food. Even though they define themselves as Indian restaurant, I think their food tastes more Pakistani which is a good thing.

Had a delicious meal here.
The group that I came with enjoyed their own food as well, though small ‘caveat’ would be some meals were spicier than advertised.
Overall, everything tasted delicious.

We arrived here quite close to closing time, but they were more than happy to serve us. The chicken 65 was really good. Fast service and tasty dishes.
