Gourmet India Restaurant

This Indian restaurant is a must, if you like Indian. I have been to many Indian restaurants but this place by far the food was the absolute best. We were only in Mount Gambia for 5 days and we made it to these guys 3 times that's how nice the food was. Prices were reasonable and service was also prety fast.

One of the best indian restaurants ive ever been to. amazing customer service from the young man, we felt very welcome and the food was incredible. definitely worth a visit!!!

Only staying in town for one night, our air bnb had a menu for this restaurant so thought we should try it. We ordered the chicken saag, I cannot begin to tell you how succulent the chicken was. We’re still talking about it 2hours after we’ve finished eating. If we ever return we will try some other dishes. Thank you :)

I absolutely loved the butter chicken and the service was excellent. The owners were very polite and will be coming back soon

It's a good sign when the number of Indian guests out number everyone. In the hour or so time we spent there up to five different familys came to eat and the food and service was amazing.

don't listen to the negative reviews. This place was amazing. I got takeaway chicken korma, veg parantha and onion bhaji. It was flavourful, a good portion size and just the right level of spicyness.
When I ordered over the phone they were honest with me about how long it would take. It's a shame I don't live in mount Gambier and just passing through, otherwise I'd be eating there all the time!!

I have dined in and had take out here a few times. The staff are lovely, the food is fresh and the service is quick! This has become my go to for Indian food.

The potato and cheese naan is delicious! I normally get the palak paneer which is also good.

Tandoori Platter, Lamb Bhuna and Naans were great. A bit of a wait for food but we were warned about it by the waitress.

Another round of good food and service 😊Great Indian food and customer service in Mount Gambier. Dal tadka was like home cooked, no oil at all like we see in other Indian restaurants. Very busy night for them And menu was limited and selective too, even then food was good quality. Will definitely try again.

Must say it’s one of the best Indian restaurants in all of town! It’s also the longest running so you know to trust them in what they’re doing right. Great food and mostly busy which is what is needed for a local business. 👍

All the way from Sydney, I thought it would be hard to find a decent taste for Indian food here, but you made our visit exceptionally magnificent. Taste,Prices and quantity were above and beyond, keep up the good work.

Excellent vegetarian option and the homemade pompaddams were to die for highly recommend

Have eaten here many times over the last several years because its so consistently good. We have tried most dishes on the menu and found all are tasty, the right amount of spice for the dish, good quantity, quality, and value. Staff are lovely! Decor is modest, but I'm there for the food not the wall hangings! Have to say mango chicken, bhuna lamb and kashmiri naan are particular favorites. They can get a little busy at times due to the large number of takeaway orders, but the wait is not that bad and definitely worth it.

Loved the food and the service. We were 9 of us wanting to have an Indian Dinner that day. It was close to 8 pm, the lady owning the restaurant was warm & welcoming, she opened a closed section to accommodate us. Cheese Garlic and Kashmiri Nan was amazing and so were mango chicken, biryani and host of other dishes. The desert, specifically the Gulab Jamuns were to die for.

First time trying this place, and really liked it. It was busy for Wednesday night, but we got the table without any booking, but would suggest booking to avoid disappointment. Lots of vegetarian options and service was equally good. 👌 would love to come back again.😊

Such a nice eating place, delicious meals served with good customer services. Only two girls were there on a busy weekend but there was no flaws in services. Dine in was full and phones were ringing continuously, I was amazed how they were handling all. There were some frustrated customers too, I think tourists from big cities (as it was holiday’s period), who couldn’t understand that it’s hard for small country town to handle that many orders and with all that busyness, one should wait. We had to wait for more than an hour for our main meals but worth it. When food came it was so delicious and hot and fresh. Lamb curry was so tender and aromatic, naan were soft and tasty. Really impressed.

ordered for delivery tonight it arrived exactly when we were told it would. the food was great; everyone liked what they got!!! and the vindaloo was the right amount of spice to what i was expecting... Gourmet India Restaurant will definitely have a return customer in me :) :D

A very good Indian restaurant in Mount gambier. I visited all the Indian restaurants in this area but this place has got some tasty dishes. Also, prices seem to be reasonable.
