The owner has done wonders for the world and the wildlife we share this earth with.

He does have some interesting facts, I’d honestly just say he loves animals more than humans (who blames him), if you’re respectful then I’d ignore the past comments.
The fact he works to keep kangaroos around in Australia is amazing and the location is to die for.

You can volunteer here for a minimum of 2 nights, not a bad idea if you’re passing through or if you’re a backpacker wanting to help out.

100% recommend, would stay again.

Very peaceful and calm environment in a beautiful scenery. Special to meet so friendly kangaroos up close while they’re being fed. For a cheap price as well, only 2 bathrooms/showers, but they’re ine fine condition. Cash only.

Magical place! Very peaceful!
Is not a big campground, so I recomend call before and ask if they have place, just in case!
The kitchen have everything that you need, always is very clean and tidy!
I am in love with the Kangaroos and Peacocks, and the way that the owner take care of them, he really love the animals! And he does everything for them! THANK YOU!
We hope come back next year!

We had the most incredible experience staying here! It’s clear how much Garry loves kangaroos and the planet and tries to help everyone to become more aware and educated. The kangaroos are free to come and go as they please as they are still wild animals! So so glad we decided to stop here for the night. Thank you so much Garry! Rosie and Alex 🦘

Absolutely incredible experience. The scenery around the campground itself is both beautiful and peaceful. The grounds are full of calm and friendly kangaroos of all sizes which you can feed and pet during the feeding times (5pm and 6:30am when we stayed). They also have the most beautiful peacocks which really adds to the majestic feel of the place.
I’m from England so having never seen a kangaroo before it was the most surreal and magical experience. The owner Gary and his colleague Sean were also brilliant, telling interesting stories and facts about kangaroos, Australia in general and sharing their own experiences.
Facilities wise there is everything a kitchen could need and two bathrooms with showers. Overall, I genuinely could not fault the place or experience in any way. Would 100% recommend staying here!!

We watched a wonderful sunset as well.
The amenities were clean. Felt like home.

Excellent host, unlike other reviews Gary made us feel very welcome. The facilities were very clean and loved the fact it had all cooking utensils provided. Lovely little campfire round the corner from the kitchen. Amazing stay rounded off with feeding the kangaroos in the morning. Gary was very passionate for all the kangaroos at the sanctuary and was very knowledgeable with providing us information. Would definitely recommend, one of our favourite campsites!

Best I've stayed easy to book, has a kitchen, swap book shelf, and the best part feeding the kangaroo. The owner helps look after them with the donations he gains and camp bookings.

Garry was fantastic from the first moment we phoned up for an impromptu night stay. Wasn't too sure what to expect but it blew us away! The kangaroos we're magnificent and Garry clearly was, and remains to be, devoted to these amazing animals. As an added bonus, the peacocks wanted to steal the limelight and dazzled us each time they came and said hello. Wonderful views, great facilities and unforgettable memories. Thanks Garry!

We loved our stay here and extended it by a few nights.
Of all the places we checked out in the area, this was by far the best.
It was wonderful to be immersed in nature. The kangaroo feeding in the evening and morning was a bonus. To be able to get so close to kangaroos, touching them and having them put their paws on you was memorable.
If you’re a happy camper who’s into nature and happy to share some camp kitchen space and bathrooms, then this is a must.
Lots of OS travellers which made our time here interesting and fun.
Sunrise and sunset are incredible and worth taking the time to enjoy.

Incredible! The most beautiful camp site I’ve ever seen! As soon as I arrived I asked to stay another night.
$20 a night with all proceeds going to the kangaroos. Showers, toilets, fully stocked kitchen area, fire pits and best of all you get to meet the roos as feeding time and Garry will tell you all about them 😍
Lovely owners and the most incredible spot to wake up to. Highly recommend anyone to stop here. Thanks you for having me x

Call up ahead of visiting to arrange when they're feeding the kangaroos. The guy that works there is really nice and knowledgeable. You can even pet some of the kangaroos. We didn't camp, but it looks like an amazing spot to do so.

Really pleasant and popular place.
The kangaroos are super sweet.
Remember to show up, when the owner is feeding them. It's a really nice experience 👌😁

Remember to book in advance there's very limited camping spots :)

Gary and Denise have done a great job creating a peaceful sanctuary where you can camp alongside kangaroos, joeys, wallabies, and birds who freely roam. Gary is very knowledgeable and will tell you about the animals while you watch them all come together to munch on sweet potato in mornings and evenings :) Beautiful sunsets over the mountains!

Kangaroos are well look after, it’s good to know some facts about them. Good environment, peacock singing in the morning, sunset in evening and stars at night.

One of the best campsites on our eastcoast roadtrip! You have an amazing view of the sun rising over the ocean. As the campsite is located on a hill, you are overlooking the city of 1770. The Kangaroo feeding is a must-do and the owner has interesting facts to share, happily answers questions and gives tips on what to do in the area. Thanks for this amazing experience!

A beautiful place to set up a tent or van, both areas you can stay have an amazing view - mountains or ocean. Wildlife is everywhere on the property! Camp kitchen, toilets and showers - made the price definitely worth it, plus knowing the fee is going back into the property. Gary was very accommodating to us. He is clearly passionate about the animals and environment.
