Kevin booked my Whitsunday’s tour with Ocean Rafting and he was fabulous! Super friendly and made time to explain the different tours and what they offer before recommending a one to fit my budget/plans. So knowledgeable about all of the different activities each tour can offer because he’d done most of the tours himself and so was based on his own experiences. Would 10/10 recommend booking any tours with Kevin, he‘ll give you honest advice and takes all the stress out of booking yourself!

Booked a Whitsunday trip 🌞 at this Awesome TravelBugs and I have to say: What an AMAZING bunch of dedicated and passionate people are working over here at this lovely place at Agnes Water & the Town Of 1770! 😄🔥

From the moment I walked in, I didn't feel any pressure at all.(Which is normally the case at those travel companies, sell sell sell 🤨) Kevin (What a Legend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!) took his time for me and recommended so many cool trips. In the end his lovely colleague Mish shared her knowledge and experience aswell with me and they both figured out that the 'Summertime' boat would be the perfect fit for me and WOW what an EXPERIENCE it has been!! 🤙 (Even booked a skydive aswell lol, absolutely gold!⚡ )

Great bike hire experience. I went in to hire the bike around 10am for 48 hours and was told I could have it until the end of the 3rd day so had it for almost 3 whole days instead. Cost AUD 30 per day which is great value as the bikes are modern and in good condition (you get to choose your bike) and they provide a helmet, bike lock and detachable lights for it.
It's hard to get around Agnes Water without a vehicle especially if you need to get to 1770 for a boat tour so I appreciated having the bike for my whole stay.

Had the best time on Fraser Island , this crew know their stuff. we are a little older and didn't want the party vibe ..they suggested the best tour that suited us.

We had the best holiday in 1770 thanks to Lisa and her fantastic recommendations. She was honest and upfront and really easy to chat to. Lisa booked us on to the Lady Elliot Island day trip that included an unbelievable plane ride across to the island over Lady Musgrave and incredible snorkelling on the reef. Just amazing.

My daughter & I had the best day! The weather was so perfect. I didn't know what to expect but the Larc was better than I imagined. I was quite nervous going up the pathway to the lighthouse, the Skipper was very competent in driving us up safely. The history of the Lighthouse was very informative I really liked the house and all the interesting information & how well it is maintained. Morning tea and lunch was very yummy the ANZAC biscuits & Billy tea were really great!. I was happy that I attemped sandboarding only did the small hill it was such fun. I would have really liked to have gone for a swim but the tide was out. The commentary of the birds, trees & creeks by the host was quite informative & somewhat humorous I will definitely recommend the Larc to my family & friends. Wonderful service. We came running in just before they closed. Lisa was more than accommodating, taking time to help us and assuring us that she can stay until we have purchased all we needed and not to rush. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some very useful tips for our tour the next day. Highly recommend.

We booked the Fraser Island tour with travelbugs and it was amazing! Kevin knows his job really relly well! He did also the Fraser Island tour and told us his experience and recommended a lot of very nice trips/things to do (inflatable ring for the Eli creek!!! Thanks again🥳). He was so helpful and took his time to share his experience! He was so nice that my friend booked also a diving trip. We would book more trips with him.

If you are looking for a good and honest travel advice go there! Kevin is super knowledgeable of all the tours and highlights in Queensland and can give you not only tour/ company recommendations, but also on how to do trips best without guides.
As a result, he helped us plan our next days and adviced us on picking the tours that are right for us. As we felt very well informed and not pressured into buying any tour, we checked his recommendations ourselves and went back to book with him.

Very informative, not pushy at all, he took the time to walk us through both a Whitsunday & Great Barrier Reef tour which were insane!! We most likely would of spent a lot more if we had not gone with his recommendations.

He also suggested a great restaurant to go to and let us use the bikes we rented for the afternoon again free of charge which was a lovely touch.

Overall a great place to get information about the area and any tours and I would definitely recommend Discovery 1770!

My brother and I had a great experiencie with 1770 Holiday Shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful, suggesting us activities and doing work after hours to help plan our holidays. Special thanks to Lisa who was amazing! Highly recommend visiting if in the area for all type of travel organisation.

All hail Kevin! Seriously though, this guy is actually awesome at his job. Kevin from travel bugs 1770 booked our trip to Fraser for us. Having been there himself more than once (like most of the places he offers out) he was able to not only put us with a fab provider, but share all his “should’ve/would’ve done that” top tips from his trips to ensure we absolutely nailed it and had a blooming amazing time there, first time. This guy is honest, straight talking and certainly went the extra mile for us. Hence the 5 star, A++, all hail Kevin review. Thank you.

We were a group of 4 travelling from Sydney and this was going to be our first experience with the Great barrier reef. Lisa from Discover 1770 was amazing, she helped us book the reef tour along with Lady Musgrave Island tour and it was one eventful day discovering the amazing coral life and sea turtles along with some really beautiful fish. I would certainly recommend booking your tours though them.
Their souvenir store is also really nice and not overpriced. Got home a few fridge magnets and small souvenirs.

We were very happy with Travelbugs 1770!
Kevin knew a lot about all the tours we wanted to know something about. He didn’t try to convince us to do a specific Tour but rather showed us what to look for in our tours.
He showed us the tours that were good for us, were we get the most for our money and not tours that give the travel agency a lot of money to promote them.
He also didn’t urge us to book the tour with him but think about it and do what we feel most comfortable with.
You could see that he didn’t want to rip us off like most travel agencies.

Lisa went above and beyond to get us on a tour to lady Musgrave island on the day we wanted. She assisted us in finding convenient accommodation too. Highly recommend this shop for local advice, friendly service and anything you need to enjoy your time in the sun (hats, sunnies, rashies...)
the tour itself was amazing value, so glad we did it!

Kevin gave us good and relevant information about the best spots to snorkel around the reef. You can tell he does his job from the heart! He advised us two tours for whitsundays and great barrier reef that will meet our expectations AND fit our budget as backpackers. Thanks Kevin!!

I cannot recommend Kevin at travel bugs highly enough, everything from my initial enquiry, to helping suggest some of the best trips I have ever done, the over night trip on SV Whitehaven was certainly a highlight of my trip! All my communication was done through email as I was in England at the time but it was a pleasure to deal with Kevin, he knew exactly the type of trips I was looking for and catering for a group with an age range of 22-57 was always going to be a challenge but the trips Kevin suggested were perfect and enjoyable for everyone! Always helpful and knowledge with anything and everything I need to know and need answered, made planning easy and straight forward from options to budget, timing and with genuine advice!

Lady Musgrave:
We were desperately looking for a place to dive the reef, without driving all the way up to Cairns. Kevin, the agent really did a good job in explaining all the details to this trip.
So we had no doubt booking this (for us) expensive trip with travel bug.
We had an amazing day at the outer reef, saw a bunch of cool fish and living coral garden.
Would book the tour again, and definitely with travel bug!
