We stayed 5 nights in 'Sunset' beach shack. Very happy with location and (luxury) shack. Highlights include: 50m to beach, nice off-road walking tracks, quiet bar/bistro next door, short walk to Marina. We swam, fished, walked and enjoyed sunset every day. Happy to recommend.

Very convenient to the beach.
The kitchen is equipped nicely. Eating inside or outside.
Just a short walk to monuments, shops, bars and restaurants.

Such a wonderful place to stay. If you need a breather from the big cities I suggest coming to 1770 and staying at the Shacks. The owners are friendly and always there to help. The beach is across the street. I was able to cook my own food instead of dining out from B/L/D including a propane tank grill. My treehouse shack was on top and gave amazing sunset views. I can not wait to return.

Top spot, very clean, everything you need, lovely caretaker, nice views, right on the water.one tip, food extremely exorbantley expensive in the restaruant next door, mortgage your house for meal money before you arrive or,do what the smart people do and bring supplies and use your shack facilities to cook.every conceivable cooking item supplied,etc.etc.
New massive iga at agnes waters, with prices the same as bundy or Gladstone.

Outstanding, picturesque views of Bustard Head Bay from the Tree House bungalow. As the owners intended, the bungalow is a combination Bali-Robinson Crusoe-tree house style and full of character. Very relaxing.

Limited dining options within walking distance so bring your own favourite food and drinks to prepare in the self contained kitchenette and bbq.

Be sure to wear insect repellant if you are sensitive to mosquitoes and sandflies.

1770 is a great place to visit, go for a wonder or drive around, even go fishing or have a beverage at the pub across the road from the beach

We had the BEST stay! Such a beautiful user friendly location, we had a wonderful view of the ocean from our balcony and it was so close to the beach, it felt very luxurious, especially with the aircon in the heat, we were over the moon, we did not want to leave, I’d definitely recommend booking longer then 2 days if you visit,

Thankyou to the kind hearted and friendly staff, they were kind enough to have the room ready earlier for us due to our big drive and we accidentally burned a whole in the ironing board and the staff/ owners were very understanding and told us not to worry about it :)

One of the best places to unwind at 1770. Deb and David are amazing and ensured we have the best ever stay from the moment we arrived and even went extra mile to help us with our maiden kayaking expedition. Room was spotless and decorated with tropical flowers. Had stunning view from the balcony with open plan living. Highly recommended and definitely will come back.

Excellent views from our unit, very comfortable stay. Left my jacket on departure and they mailed it to me a few days later. Would definitely stay here again.

Didn't stay here but has great little cabins. Lots of grassed areas for the kids to kick a ball. Bathrooms clean. And has a amazing little cafe next door.

Our little Shack was beautifully clean and well presented. Deb was very understanding and proactive with the recent COVID lockdown which made us feel immediately relaxed and welcome when we could get away. The views are stunning in all weather.

Tidy, clean, amazing. I wasn't expecting much when my wife suggested we stay here. And I was blown away as I walked through the door. To the point that I have suggested that we spend a long weekend here just relaxing. You will not regret it if you decide to stay here

Awesome place to stay, right on the beach and all amenities next door. The room was clean, modern and well appointed. The owners couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommend.

Happened across the 1770 beach shacks whilst having a beer in the bar. Amazing place to stay. Really chilled and the ‘shacks’ are beautiful. The best we’ve had in 3 weeks of travel. Want one!!

What soul renewing accommodation! From the moment you arrive to the time you must say goodbye you are very well looked after by management..Dave is a very happy beach shack owner, who works very hard, looking after the beach shacks, gardens and surrounding areas.. The beach shacks each have that distinct feeling you've just arrived at the most beautiful tropical island where Robin Caruso himself has been hard at work building your bungalow...I stayed in the beach shack called "The escape" just what I needed..I never wanted to leave and I can't wait to go back. 💜

Tried to book in, but rooms were already booked out. I can see why with location but also friendly and very helpful staff that gave other suggestions for somewhere to stay. Looking forward to staying there in the future.
