Mimi Restaurant

We ate her in July, during a three night stay at the resort. The food was actually much better than I was expecting. I really enjoyed the kangaroo steak and my wife enjoyed her pizza. The only slight negative was while you could order your food at the counter in the restaurant, you had to walk outside to the bar to pick up the food when the buzzer device went off - there was no table service in the restaurant.

During the stay at Cooinda resort we ate many times at Mimi Restaurants. I never expected such great and creative food in a resort in the middle of Kakadu Nationalpark.
The menu is divided into bar food with classics like burger and pizza and a main dishes. The bar food pizza was good with a broad variety of beer but my highlight was the main dishes. The steak was perfectly grilled with harissa fried aubergine and papaya salad. Also the self made gnocchi twisted with guacamole was an surprise. There was really someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook in a modern way.
The service was work-and-travel run but all time professional and friendly.

Mimi restaurant and Barra Bar appear to be the same kitchen and menu. Dinner was great both the nights we went. I was impressed by how they cooked the kangaroo and buffalo steaks. The native chutneys were also great. The burger patty didn’t taste freshly made but it was still a yummy burger. Chips were also cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Anytime you can eat your lamb without a knife that's a tender piece of meat. Both our meals tasted fantastic. A must to eat at if your in the Kakadu

Great meals to be had here in the heart of Kakadu. Modern indigenous fusion with excellent drinks menu, all of which can be enjoyed poolside.

Lovely food from the "fish and chip caravan", wine at reasonable prices, fast service considering the crowds.

Had a stop over here for lunch, service was friendly and accommodating, the burger was the best I've had in a very long time

Place is near cooinda lounge. Food was amazing especially the chicken pizza! ❤

Came here for breakfast after the early morning river cruise .
Buffet breakfast was included in the price.
The food was ok and I can recommend it if you’re a big breakfast eater.

Ordered their mixed platter, pork rib rack and margarita pizza.
Food was ok however really expensive (chicken breast main was $50?)
Platter was ok, pork ribs were a little on the dry side (huge serving though). Pizza was for the kids.
