Awsome cultural experience! Gathering and preparing bush tucker for a big cook up. Patsy telling stories about her life growing up in Kakadu. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand local culture and anyone open to new experiences. However if you expect guaranteed outcomes this is not for you.

I was on this tour in 2018, in August.
It was the most amazing tour and I fully enjoyed it being run by Aboriginal Elder, Aunty Patty and her sister.
Showing up the bush hazelnuts and digging them out of the gard mud to go with our tea later that night.
To seeing the wild buffaloes in the distance, checking out the little bush food with more Vit C in them then oranges🍊.
That afternoon, going to a large wetlands waterway with thousands of birds... the gorgeous sunset and to help prepare magpie geese for tea alo g with a buffaloes haunch and barra, washed down with Billy tea. Had damper with butter and syrup as well.
Will be doing this tour as soon as I can get back up there.
Thankyou for sharing your culture with us, a beautiful experience. 💖

We did this tour as a family of 5, incl 2 teenagers and a 10 yo. Was definitely a highlight of our trip to the Top End. Our guide, Sean, was extremely informative. Patsy, our Aboriginal elder and tour guide, was so informative. If you are looking to immerse yourself in some of the aboriginal culture, and get hands on with learning about how the ‘bush people’ live, eat, think, then this is a tour for you. We also went nature spotting - birds, snakes, lizards and cruised next to a herd of grazing water buffalo. Awesome!

You end up touring Patsy’s farm which is restricted land so you get a ‘close to nature’ view of the park that no one else can show you.

All our kids had a great time (and were reluctant to go at 1st). Very engaging and hands on. Our kids helped with getting the fire ready, plucking the ducks, collecting the river mussels. A great evening fireside meal followed.

Sean runs a good tour and is to be commended. Highly recommended.

Amazing authentic experience! What a way to really immerse yourself in the cultural aspect of Kakadu. We learnt about bush tucker and wildlife, foraged for some of our own food and had a huge, delicious cook up at sunset with a beautiful view. Thank you!!

The best 1 day tour I have EVER done! The entire tour is real, authentic, interesting and amazing. Suitable for all ages and abilities. You will hunt & gather traditional bush tucker, eat an amazing bush fire dinner while watching the most stunning sunset over a croc infested lagoon set within a buffalo farm within Kakadu National Park. This tour is worth every cent.

So glad we did this tour! This was such a great day. Loved being out in the bush, learning about the original culture and enjoyed an awesome feast watching an incredible sunset. Would highly recommend. There is little physical activity. Come ready to watch and learn.

This safari was amazing in every way. Both our 3yr old and 10yr old were fully emersed in every aspect from start to finish. From the knowledge from Dom to the amazing culture and stories from Patsy this will be an experience we will never forget and will definitely be doing again. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful land and culture with us.

An amazing one day tour. We spent the day collecting bush Tucker ranging from various plants to green tree ants (which are good for flu) and finished with a feast of magpie geese and barramundi. My kids (10 and 15) loved it. Note that you should take plenty of insect repellent. The mozzies were swarming by twigighty

Wir haben zum Sonnenaufgang eine Bootsfahrt über den Fluss gemacht und viele Tiere gesehen. Die Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen.

BEWARE—BEWARE. READ BEFORE BOOKING Unsure how there are so many positive reviews. Booked with high hopes of a Animal track and safari as the name says. Expected to see Australia and animals, Instead we got the most boring trip I have ever been on. We learned about trees and stopped to look at sand that a bird digs. You should really change your name to prevent others like us from buying 3 tickets to a ride around a farm. To top off the night from laughing so hard from a horrible experience we get a flat and stuck on this nightmare forever. Bottom line if you want to hit dirt with a hammer or poke in the ground for oysters this trip is for you. It says bring cask to buy things. Buy from where. The lady we drove 20 min to pick up looked like a junkyard. Remember you will learn about trees and randomly stop to look at a tree leaf.

To response to the horrible response left by business, as long as my response helps others not get scammed by your false advertising in your business name as it looks like it is doing, I am fine with your non-response. The good thing is we have had 2 weeks of laughing and making fun of how horrible this tour was. It was so bad, all we can do is laugh

Even though it's advertised in the Kakadu booklet, it is not available. No staff at Cooinda had any idea about it
