Moonta Old Sweet Stop

Wonderful old time sweet shop opposite the Moonta Mines Museum. Large variety of lollies for the young and old. Staff were very patient as we selected our lollies and cold drinks. Just 5 minutes out of Moonta. Worth the visit.

I have been coming to this shop for 50 years. It’s absolutely the best. Staff are really lovely, and the prices are incredible.

Big range for a little shop. We bought a giant freckle for $6.50 but find it at Stirling & Hahndorf for double & triple the price.
Lovely volunteers that run the shop stayed open for us & the next family. So great full as I don’t know if/when we’ll get back.
They even had my favourite old fashion “spuds”.

Heritage lolly shop ran by volunteers. This shop is observing social distancing with one family permitted inside at a time. We loved the range of sweets and finding some rare treats not sold elsewhere. We come back every time we’re in Moonta- it’s a family favourite.

This lil shop is so cute! The ladies there were so friendly. Love the variety of treats they have. The ginger beer is an absolute must!

Great little lolly shop along the old Moonta Mine Road. Great variety of sweets and lovely friendly service. 😊 Will be back next time we visit Moonta.

Great little shop and great tourist attraction. The variety of loolliedvand treats is mind boggling. This place is a great addition to the surrounding attractions and appears to be run 7 days a week by volunteers. They have certainly utilised the space to great advantage. When we went in the lady on duty was very friendly and extremely helpful. Certainly worth a visit.

I've been coming to the Moonta Mines Sweet Shop since she was established in 1983, when I was a just a girl.
It's a must stop when in the area, very well stocked with a huge variety.
Run by local volunteers. Well done.

Very very small shop..but jammed packed. Allow plenty of time can only fit couple of customers inside and you need time to really look around. My husband eventually came out with our son beaming but wants to come back again to look more. Great selections.
