Suganya's Thai Restaurant

Google Reviews just goes to show that some people either have no taste buds, or just like to complain.

As a long time visitor to Bright, but first time trying Suganya's, I can tell you to ignore some recent comments and try it for yourself.

First, the atmosphere... Quaint, cosy and welcoming (except that freezing wind every time the door opens 😅).

The service? Attentive, prompt and quick. Wait staff checked on us often enough and were very polite.

And now the food! Actually some of the tastiest Thai I've had and goes toe to toe with some of the best Melbourne cuisine!

And when you get to enjoy it all with some amazing humans, you can truly say you had a great night...

We ordered veg spring rolls and pork dim sum for entrees. And roasted duck Pad key mau with yellow noodles for main. The meals were served in a timely manner and tasted great. They have a good beer menu with a range of local and Asian beers. Staff were friendly helpful and hard working.

Such a lovely restaurant, our server was first class and the food, absolutely delish. No long waits, no messed up orders, it was great, and highly recommend

One of the best Thai restaurants. We ordered take aways today. Thai prawn salad, Thai fried rice, thai honey chicken, pork belly stir fry(tamarind sauce), Ped thai noodle. The foods are excellent. Vegies and meats are so fresh. Not salty, but very rich Thai flavor. Very delicious. We will definitely visit this restaurant again. Thank you chef. :)

We’re visiting bright for a few days and got some Thai tonight for dinner. Ordered takeaway so can’t comment on the atmosphere but the food was amazing and ready on time. No complaints here. Special mention to the fish cakes and duck curry

We loved the food here, and we've been to quite a few Thai restaurants. It was tasty and the servings were a good size. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.

Great little spot in the main area. Warm and comfortable. We got takeaway - the usual suspects. All the food was very good but the pork Penang, while VERY tasty, had too much liquid. The meat was very good. Pad Thai lovely. Ginger chicken very good. We also loved the steamed dim sims. Served hot and well packaged. Excellent service from bloke on the till.

Arrived here yesterday a few minutes before closing and they were kind enough to accommodate the orders from our group. We ordered at least 8 mains and they prepared it pretty quickly. Everyone loves it! I personally like Pad Thai, Thai Style Salmon and Fried rice! Will definitely go back on our next visit to Bright. Must try if you’re after Asian food

Great food and gorgeous place. Amazing artwork on all the walls and very warm and comfortable. Staff very friendly too. Had Shuganya’s special duck curry which was delicious.

Definitely worth a visit, had the steamed snapper, vegetable curry and OMG the fish cakes...one word AWESOME...nice and spicy as all food should be ....Service was great big thankyou for fitting us in on a fully booked out night.... PS..had to grab takeaway fish cakes ...YUM...

Great thai option when you're passing through! Got the Thai Laksa and sode of roti bread, plenty of flavour and very warming.

They welcomed us warmly despite us not having a booking, much appreciated. We were delighted with the authentic food. I enjoyed the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with Mixed Seafood. Would definitely recommend a visit here next time you're in Bright. Great to support a small local business too!

Finally found a Thai restaurant that does jungle curry and they did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious! We also had pad Thai and curry fried rice. All were delicious! Definitely book as this lil hole in the wall gets busy and is well worth the wait! I would even suggest getting take away and eating on the banks of the river because you don't want to miss out on this feed! The staff were lovely and definitely very helpful.

Beautiful red curry, chicken spring rolls, pad Thai, coconut rice & exceptional satay sauce.

We only like Thai from our local in Cranbourne and are always skeptical trying other places.. but so glad we did will definitely back every year and letting everyone know.

Food was good and service was excellent. Waitstaff were friendly, polite, and enthusiastic. Always a pleasure when people seem to genuinely enjoy being of service and working in hospitality. Good sized servings, too. Definitely worth checking out for yummy Asian fare in Bright.

Absolutely delicious food, could only do takeaway as fully booked in the restaurant. Waited 30 minutes, worth the wait. Honey chicken tasted great and the rice mopped up the sauce, not a grain left. Heather had the fish with ginger and mushrooms, big pieces of fish with lots of vegetables
