Hotel Landhaus zu Appesbach

We booked a few days holiday in the top studio room and were blown away by the incredible view. From our balcony, we had a breathtaking panorama of the lake and snow-capped mountains. The spa was clean and cozy, providing a relaxing retreat. The breakfast served was superb, offering a variety of delicious options. We also highly recommend trying the dinner at the hotel restaurant; the food was absolutely wonderful. The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return.

Lovely hotel. We will definitely come back here. The rooms are so cute and the staff are very nice especially the man in the restaurant. Hotel also has beautiful view of the lake. Both dinner and breakfast are superb!!! The mini bars are free although i didn’t try anything. Also we got a very lovely welcome snack tray with different types of nuts, chocolate and plume.

The only thing a bit off-putting was that we saw the group in front of us got sparkling wine as welcome drink while they were checking in but we weren’t offered any when it was our turn to check in. We had to ask if we can have them also which we did get in the end.

Overall we had a great experience. Better than some 5 stars hotel we stayed at.

We stayed at 'Landhaus zu Appesbach' for the 3rd time and it was again a wonderful experience. The rooms are beautiful and when you wake up in the morning with a view at the lake, it can't get much better. The breakfast is delicious and the dining experience overall is excellent. I want to highlight the excellent service and the friendliness and professional help of all staff - outstanding. Spending New Years Eve in a relaxed atmosphere, with a fantastic 5-course dinner, fireworks and dancing 'Wiener Walzer' into the new year was wonderful.

The Landhaus zu Appesbach truly is a hidden jewel in Austria‘s Salzkammergut. The Duke of Windsor once stayed here for 5 weeks and found his ,,splendid isolation“. During our stay we stayed in the Windsor Suite offering ample of space with a combined living and sleeping room, a cabinet, a Roman bath & balcony as well as a terrace. All rooms and suites are individually designed with attention to detail. The country house’s restaurant offered an eccellent breakfast & dinner. The ladies and gentlemen in all departments did a good job in providing a personalized service.

Warm welcome, amazing, efficient service, view as was painted especially for us. We had 2 Vien Schnitzel that was nothing less than perfect. We decided to come back again and to stay over a couple of nights

The hotel is a delight and the staff was wonderful. We loved our balcony view over the lake and Alps. We loved the updated Spa area as well as the addition of ebike rentals (we came to the hotel about 10 years ago).

We had a superb experience. The lady in the reception was very friendly. The dinner was extremely good and the waiters were so efficient and polite. Breakfast was one of the best we had. It's a pity we had only one night.

from arrival to departure, apart from the wonderful setting of the Landhaus Appesbach, the biggest asset is the team, the people working there. I can not name all the people, but each individual treated us with utmost friendlyness, warmth and hospitality. I sure will be back

When we entered the hotel, the feeling of a fairy tale swept over us and was with us all the time of our stay. Combining the old garden and home with modern facilities makes your stay feel like home and comfortable. And the magic of nature around you makes you happy!

Fantastic stay here in December. Every detail of the stay is thoughtfully catered to and the staff are wonderful. The restaurant serves beautiful meals and the views are stunning, even in winter.
Hope to return one day.

This has to be one of my favourite hotels. We’ve been visiting for nearly twenty years both with the children when they were little and now on our own. Rooms are always well above average and the food excellent. Staff have always been pleasant, helpful and friendly. Fantastic views across the lake while you eat outside.

I stayed here 14 years ago for my honeymoon. It was FANTASTIC! Quiet, relaxing, beautiful rooms, great service. And, I do not say this lightly, the BEST FOOD I have eaten in my entire life. If there were 6 stars, it would get it. Someday we'll take the kids there.

Wonderful hotel on the Wolfgangsee just outside Sankt Wolfgang, feels like the countryside though it is a short walk along the lake to town.

Friendly staff, attention to detail, and a fun social feel at breakfast and the lake-side bar/restaurant. A gem!!
