Very nice place to stay. Rooms are clean, nice with a mountain view, price is very reasonable.
There's little kitchen in the room, microwave, fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine with free coffee, glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery, even wine glasses..
Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices for everyone.
Other guests were little bit loud, so we could hear them in our room. 😅

Great stay near overpriced Hallstatt with free parking!!! Less than 10 minute drive from Hallstatt. Free parking is nearby, just 2-3 minute walk. Bike rentals & other water rentals available. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Our room was very quiet for being in a hotel. Clean & spacious room. Bathroom was a bit "hairy" on the tile walls but clean otherwise. Small kitchenette with coffee machine. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Good restaurant on site with nice bar seating. Breakfast was an abundant array of choice to include fresh cut fruits and infused drinks. Highly recommended stay nearby Hallstatt.

We stayed at this complex over New Year. Excellent facilities with swimming pool and fitness centre. It is easy to get to the ski lifts by car. There are chargers for electric cars. There was also one problem with hiring a barbecue. But in the end it was sorted out to everyone's satisfaction. We can certainly recommend this resort.

Perfect resort for a family trip. We opted to go with the chalet option, it was the best decision. It was very spacious, well furnished, and equipped with a kitchen and all cooking wear.

The views were stunning as you can see from the pictures. A perfect mixture of mountain and lake views.

The best part was the fact that it has a play ground for children with a variety of games.

The gym was good, it had an Olympic bar which is really what I need to do most of my workouts. I wish there were more weights to add to the bar though. There are also, other machines (back pulldown/row, leg extension, biceps, cardio machines).

Parking is free with assigned spot per chalet.

Laundry room is available and costs 6€ per load.

Groceries are available on site and are reasonably priced.

I wish checkout time was a bit later, as 10am is quite early.

This is in prime Location. The location from the windows is beautiful. Rooms are bigger in size and always neat and clean. The service of the staff is better, they know how to talk politely. Although it's a good place to stay, we enjoyed it here a lot.

A beautiful resort that offers different accommodation types. I love the chalet we booked. Each chalet comes with a complimentary parking lot next to it. The chalet is constructed beautiful in wood and fully furnished. Mountain as backdrop. So beautiful. Fireplace has there but no free logs or starter kit. Need to purchase separately. Kitchen furnished but resort provides only 1 tablet for dish washing and a little tube for dish washing detergent. Limited bowls provided as well. No house phone in chalet. Can't dial to reception. TV in living room and bedrooms but no international channels.

The resort is big with nature to explore around it.

Reception closed at 6pm. We checked in at 5.30pm. Although they say we can see the guide of the accommodation by scanning QR Code, I didn't realise the chalet didn't have the hair dryer and the resort's guide is we must borrow hair dryer from the reception. By the time we realised that it was past 6pm and the reception was closed.

Location wise, it is located opposite Hallstatt. A short 5 mins drive away to Hallstatt.

Main building has restaurant and mini mart. Do take notice on the operating hours.

Reception staff is friendly.

Very nice resort. Everything was clean. Parking is free. Chalet is veey spacious and everthing look very good.
The only bad thing was that they did not offeres soap, body shower gel and shampoo.

Disclaimer:This reviews is about the restaurant here not the resort. A very big space. From the inside a great view to the lake and a big menu. Quite clean

Now let’s talk about themain attraction-food.I ordered the wienerschnitzel. The wienerschnitzel was served with berries and potatoes. It was served after about ten minutes. The schnitzel was impeccable! Texturing and crisp. Mixed with berrysauce it was amazing. I won’t say the same about the potatoes, they were overall mid. For dessert I ordered some vanilla ice cream, which didn’t arrive as soon as I hoped it would. As it was already in the busy hours I didn’t get it till after about twentyfive minutes.

Let’s move on to the service.The service is attentive, friendly and usally fast,providing helpful suggestions and always ready to help. In terms of money Dormio Resort Obertraun offers reasonable prices based on the quality and the amount of food they serve. But it’s still quite expensive. You will probably have to pay about 20€ per person.

Overall my experience here was pleasant. I’m quite satisfied. Highly recommended.

I think this resort is the best option if you want to stay in a calm and quiet place.
Large beautiful area around the hotel, a store with a good selection, delicious breakfast and only 10 minutes from Hallstatt.

The resort is fantastic! Free parking, pool, lakeside seating and a mini market on-site with all the drinks and snacks you need. The staff are really friendly and check-in was a breeze. There's a pizza restaurant and a cafe close by for dinner or lunch options. Panoramic views and a stunning setting, away from the hustle and bustle of Hallstatt with all the tourists. Highly recommend

We only stayed in Hallstatt for one night, but would’ve loved to book here for longer. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast was expansive, and the rooms were perfect for a good night’s rest.

Dormio offer a scenic view of the greenery and hills. The resort has spacious rooms, clean and well maintained, with individual balconies to enjoy the spectacular view. The resort also offers a free breakfast
its offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Great stay here for 4 days with a family of 5. Great location next to Hallstatt also only 1.5 hours to Salzburg or Bertchesgaden. Staff were great. Would definitely stay here again.

When a tourist comes to such a hotel, he wants to see an empathetic receptionist and receive service with a smile. Too bad the clerk isn't like that. She also promised to bring extra soap to the room and did not do so. Beyond that, the place is wonderful, the food is excellent and varied.

On the lake shore just across the water from Hallstatt. Exceptional in almost every way. Chalet rooms give privacy if needed. Loads of places to eat and drink, even an on site shop. Brilliant staff, nothing is to much trouble. An added bonus is its not expensive either

Amazing! Perfect! Wow! This hotel was selected by my husband as one of my B-presents. I'm SO thankful! Nature - fantastic! Beach - wonderful! House- great! We definitely admired the stay.
Pets friendly - this was super important for us. Also helpful staff. Super equipped house with everything - the kitchen stuff is impressive. Rather good shop. Pool. Skating yard. Playground. Trampolin. SAUNA!!!
Three things that definitely can be better:
1. Food in the restaurant. It is not tasty. At all. Plus the price policy is definitely needed to be reviewed because that taste doesn't cost those money
2. Coffee. There are 2 coffee machines in the house. But there were no capsules for them in the shop... At least it would be good if you can leave a couple of them as welcoming present....
3. Soap. So many toilets and so small toilet set. It is really too small - for the hands and for the use

The hotel lies in a magical landscape, the whole area is like it came out of a fairytale!

You can easily reach the hotel by taking a train or bus. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and you can go to Hallstatt and Five Fingers. It would be better to bring some food or any other stuff since you can find a fully equipped kitchen in the room. This hotel is located right next to Hallstatt and you can enjoy swimming with ducks there.
