Great stay, the campground provided everything you need and it’s clean. Don’t let’s a reviewed about the owner doubting your booking. Yes, He looked cold but he had a warm heart. When our connecting electric cable wasn’t long enough to the power point, we borrowed his cable without any problems. In the night time can be very cold if you stay in the tent, make sure you have enough warm blanket. For a nice picture from Hallstatt town without tourists I highly recommended wake up at 6am and wander around the town, it’s amazing.

Reviews here almost made me skip Hallstat and I’m glad I didn’t. Lady at the reception was very nice and welcoming with beer. Location was perfect, right in the beginning of the town. Site is clean and spot was great.
I had no reservation as they require minimum nights, however I was told I can try my luck between 14:00-15:00 and I did that and got sport for our caravan.

Owner was rude but we expressed the same attitude and eventually he helped us a lot by providing premium parking at reasonable price. Otherwise we would walk 5km before visiting salt mine with kinds since there is no parking for camper vans in the center of Hallstat.

A wonderful place to see Hallstatt! We had a super time here, you can walk easily to the town or the lake.
The owner helped us with where to eat and go, and these we great recommendations, promptly responded to our booking and helped us with anything we needed, will be back again! Many thanks!

Lovly place, had a lengthy discussion with the owner. Once he realised my grand father was in the s.s we got on great. I asked him if he'd seen the film swindlers list, and he said ya, but ven it was released over her it was called "zee gud old days" he is of national pride

I have been to this camping several times in previous years, with a dog, there are no complaints. I wonder about the negative reviews about the manager. If you don't talk too much, the conversation can be very correct. The wide open-mindedness of the Italians is not to be expected here. And remember, that a camping is not a parking lot. It is next to it. This year, after five years, I was again in Hallstatt, I found out in a telephone conversation that this time there will be no overnight stay here. And Hallstatt itself was a little disappointing this time... Austrians, protect the unique elegance of Hallstatt town!

Great camping. Best place with RV.
Good option for parking even for few jours.
We spend one night and also left RV for parking for few hours for next day.
Don’t know about other comments, but we liked owner. He was friendly. Gave to us some vouchers to Salt mine. He know a English very well. So i think he is good man.
Showers and toilets were clean.
Capping ground in good size. Near electricity.
And really very comfortable location to take a boat trip or just walk around.

Very good place to visit Hallstatt and see the area. Electricity was available at the spot and the water intake is very close. The whole facility is very clean and tidy.

We arrived 13.August 2022, meet the Reception and getting all Instructions once you listen carefully then you would not miss any details.And remember the Manager does this 100 times the day,to explain it over and over again,so it may seems he is unfriendly,unfortandly hes not,just the crazy stuff which comes with it, can take some Peoples Nerv off!
Ok so much to this part,we had a Tent and places it in the backyard Grassfield,which I found great to stay.
Bathrooms,Kitchen etc all there and Clean,as longes the Guest goes along and leave it in the same way!
Parking is enough space ,some area I could place a 747 there.
What is a little crazy,finding a Restaurant free to sit in,as the time we travel had many Tourist arround.
We needed an extension cable for Electricity ,and plenty there by the Reception !
Question,would I choose this Place again ,YES!
PS.: A Supermarket is just arround the right corner from the Camping site,leftside an Gasoline Station,where litte stuff can be bought!

Well there is a lot of opinions about this place and a man who's working in reception but for me he was super helpful. Al registration and other formalities went really quick. Yes it is a lot of tourists here but c'mon you're in the centre of hallstatt in the Peak of touristic season so what do you expect?
Place is clean and well maintained.

A small, quiet campsite just off the scenic town and lake of Hallstatt. Showers and toilets always clean, a selection of good beers, chilled, available at the reception (particularly welcome after long hikes). Re the range of comments here about the manager of the place: if your notion of politeness is old-style England, you might feel offended at times. But then, Hallstatt is not England, is it. Our dealings with the manager were always straighforward, and we even received a bottle of wine as a parting gift upon paying compliments to the site.

This is a lovely campground. We were greeted with the utmost attention and respect. The proprietor helped us situate our campervan in the space provided and then went out of his way to welcome us with drinks…Guinness for me, whiskey for my husband, and apfel-shorle for all of our children. He even gave us a bag of mint toffees! The facility is perfectly clean and more than suitable for families. We would most definitely return here and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit beautiful Hallstatt!

Well equipped camping site in Hallstatt - we stayed in a tent but showers, toilets, kitchen zone are near and tidy. The city is close, everything easy accessible. We arrived on Sunday, so be aware that at 7pm most of the shops will be closed. Maybe it was the effect of covid but many restaurants and cafes were closed too.

Campsite is lovely the mountain view is absolutely breathtaking. Campsite is close to waterfall, 5 fingers viewpoint, Hallstatt centre among others. In my opinion the owner was not rude and made light of our situation he made a few jokes and found us somewhere to stay for the night. One of my favourite campsites on my Europe trip.

The location is very good and the campsite is clean and well organized. The owner has a unique character, but he was really kind to us, he helped us everytime when we needed it.

Very well located campsite in the city center with good motorhome infrastructure. Beautiful view of the mountains. The gentleman at the reception was very polite and helpful. Thank you for your welcome and the time spent.

This site is just fantastic, surrounded by stunning mountains and nestled in the heart of Hallstatt. There are grass pitches for tents and gravel pitches for motorhomes/campervans, lovely clean facilities with powerful, hot showers and a small bar which opens during busy periods. The owner's son, George, works very hard taking bookings, dealing with enquiries and maintaining the grounds on his own. Some reviews have painted a negative impression of George, however, he was nothing but friendly and kind to us during our stay, even giving us some local beer, inviting us for afternoon tea and biscuits and leaving fresh croissants outside our motorhome the following morning! Had a fantastic 3 days , hosts were wonderful and accommodated us very well with our 9 metres van , great location and plenty of space to relax , I would highly recommend

Great camping in a beautiful place.
Don't plan to check in between 12 pm -2 pm (office and entrance is closed at this time).

Camping have great facilities: like microwave, good showers etc. Clean everywhere.
Reasonable price.

Stopped just for a few hours parking. Perfect location and the owners hospitality was outstanding! Would definitely recommend and definitely return!
