Tonkin Specialty Coffee

It’s a bit tricky to find this place as the set of stairs leading up to it is tucked away. Cozy, small cafe. Staff is nice. The salted egg croissant was average (and it also burned my entire mouth as it was piping hot) but the egg coffee was out of this world!! Their jasmine tea is also delicious. I would definitely go back just for that.

Lovely quaint little cafe that is located on the 2nd floor off the main road is the perfect hideaway from the heat.

Tried their egg cream coffee and salted egg croissant combo which is really worth the money.

The servers here are super attentive and would periodically provide free refills of jasmine tea.

Each table comes with a power socket nearby that makes it a perfect place to work remotely or just charge your devices while you enjoy your coffee.

Definitely a place I'd return again!

Service was impeccable and the staff were amazing.

Very relaxed small place with seating for max 20 people. But what a lovely place.

Coffees and croissants were OMG amazing. Had coffee there at least 3 or 4 time during my whole trip.

Staff were so nice that just as we were about to leave they asked to stay for their free special spiced coffee. Nice little kick to the drink but not overpowering.

It's the second time we came here and each time the coffee was amazing. The also have vegan options. The people are so kind and sweet. I can really recommend it. Amazu g quality 🤗 Always happy to drink my coffee here. I also had a croissant and it was also delicious.

This café is very cosy and stylish,their menu is well-planned, on tablet (description in English plus photos, too), service is great and kind, my coffee looked beautiful and it tasted yummy!
Air con works perfectly, it is very refreshing sitting there.And even their toilet was funny and clean, well-equipped for guests ´ needs.
I highly recommend it.

I loved both the egg and nau Tonkin milk coffee here. The flavors were strong and the sweetness wasn’t too much The pastries were pretty standard but they were not bad at all. The service was good and they even provided complimentary iced tea to quench our thirst. The combo of coffee and pastry both came out under $5 USD! 10/10 would come back again if I am in the area :)

We began and ended our month trip in Vietnam and made sure to visit Tonkin Coffee on both occasions. The coffee is out of this world, we tried both the iced and hot coffee and give them both 5 stars. The egg cream croissant and plain with condensed milk are to die for. Staff are lovely and smiley :) Please make a branch in Sydney, Aus!

A lovely coffee shop upstairs from the main street.
The cafe is modern, with the menu presented on an ipad instead of printed.
The inside is air conditioned, which is appreciated on a hot day, and the small balcony is a nice environment to sit and enjoy a coffee.
The staff are professional and make a great coffee.

Amazing pairing of Salted egg croissant with egg cream coffee! 7spices rice milk coffee is also nice to try!
But guys, please, don’t mix it with “Specialty coffee”, which is an international term for the highest grade arabica coffee. Here you drink nice cooked tasty drinks based on 100% robusta coffee.

Fresh croissants with salted egg cream are so good,takes abt 20min to serve,maybe they just forgot idk
Coffee is good, first they misunderstood us so we get coffee with 3types of milk and u can not feel coffee at all,but they change to Vietnamese coffe(which we ordered first) without any changes as they said.
A bit difficult communicate in English,but place worth to visit!

BẠC XỈU (Vietnamese milky white coffee) both hot and cold is super delicious.

Good Spot for a nice Cà phê (coffee) in Saigon. Is a hidden entry but with they have assigned a sweet staff staying downstair to direct you to second floor.

For those who is coffee lover should go for signature milk coffee, but due to preference I did opt for less sweet, they had adjusted the condensed milk volume for me and ended up real good with great aromatic scent for me!

The milk coffee is matchy matchy with their salted egg croissant. Fluffy and crispy texture with melted salted egg filling, best taste it when warm~

The 24-hrs stew pork belly with banh mi (vietnamese baguette) also recommended by the helpful staff and is taste good too with texture and spice flavor (will be slight oily for those who doesnt like fatty part).

Atmosphere wise is cozy, small coffee shop. Can be a little bit of noise when the crowd built up, but is unavoidable.

Overall is a wonderful hearty brunch i had, good effort and services from Tonkin peeps 👍 Worth for revisit~~

..had some time before my flight back. Went to check this coffee shop. Had their signature egg coffee with croissant combo and I never looked back. There is an outdoor verandah overlooking the street for some people watching. Also got a complementary latte from the owner which is nice. Would definitely come back to this place if Im in town.

Very nice coffee with great experience! Egg coffee is a must try. Although is hidden on the second floor of white building but they have one staff welcoming you on the ground floor

This is a great coffee shop nestled in a little valley. I've been here twice for coffee and breakfast in the morning. They serve authentic traditional Vietnamese coffee as well as regular coffee, and both taste excellent. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful cafe tucked away on the second floor of an inconspicuous building. We had the best egg coffee and Vietnamese coffee during our trip so far. The staff were so friendly, even making a special coffee for us to try. Highly recommend!!

The greatest service ever. I really loved a spoon and they gave me it as a present!
